The Artist House is an ideal place for large families or friends who want to spend a holiday together and at the same time enjoy enough privacy.
Manolis Pachakis has lovingly and artistically made this 118-year-old mansion a very special place. Many sustainable materials were used in the renovation. The furnishings also feature impressive, handmade unique pieces. There are a total of four residential units: three studios, each with a living/dining area, a very well-equipped kitchenette with an extractor hood, a bathroom with shower and a large sleeping gallery, and an apartment that also has a second separate bedroom. Two studios each have access to a privtae balcony from the living/dining area.
There are two large terraces, one in front and the other behind the house, so that you can enjoy the sun at any time of the day.
The Artist House is located in the centre of Pitsidia, a small, quiet village on the south coast of Crete. Pitsidia is so centrally located that you don't have far to go for anything, be it the sea, the mountains, gorges, caves, valleys, excavations or towns. Everyone can organise their holiday individually here and enjoy it wonderfully.
In Pitsidia, everything is within walking distance. For example, you can have a great breakfast in the "Onira" and end the evening with a good glass of wine in one of the many delicious restaurants.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the Komos beach, and only five minutes by car.
There are music events on the village square twice a week. These evenings have a great atmosphere.
There are easy as well as adventurous hiking possibilities in the surrounding area.....
There are many sights to explore: Palace of Phaistos, Gortyna and Agia Triada archaeological sites, Moni Odigitrias monastery and much more.
Beautiful beaches: Komos (5 minutes by car), Matala, Red Beach, Kalamaki, Agio Farago, Lentas,Tripiti, Preveli, etc.
The museum in Vori or archälogical museum in Gortis are also within easy reach.
