Description

VILLA PALHA-GUINCHO-CASCAIS
VILLA PALHA-GUINCHO is a cozy isolated Villa (80 m2) with a private garden of 400 m2, inserted in a 12,000 m2 property, with a countryside horizon of local vegetation and pine trees, where you can hear the waves and the birds.
The living room, dining room and open kitchen occupy a single wide space ( 50m2 ) with access to the private garden. The room is furnished with a double bed, a dressing room next to the bathroom with shower. A stone floor covers the entire house.
Very quiet location with a wide view of the Serra de Sintra (Sintra Mountains) and partial sea view, located near the beaches such as the well known Guincho Beach , just a 10-15 min walk (900 meters) or 1 min drive to this beach and 2 other lovely beaches. Located in a sparsely populated area, as it borders the Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais, is a guarantee to maintain its natural and wild nature, the ideal place for a combined beach and country holiday. You can wander through the wild dunes to reach the beaches. Ideal for strolling by the sea, by the countryside or through the Sintra Mountains, and perhaps reach the Peninha Convent, which can be seen from the garden as well the Pena Palace.
Just 25 km from Lisbon, Villa Palha Guincho is located in the magnificent Coast of Guincho and the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Its’ amazing coastline and within the heart of a breathtaking, beautiful countryside, will provide you with these amazing views, and make you feel so close to nature in the peace and quiet and the beauty of it all.
In the Guincho beach you can practice surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing and body boarding, when the weather is appropriate for these sports. You will also find several other beaches along the lovely coast line. Within 1 km from the house there are health clubs, tennis courts, golf courses and horseback riding clubs. If you are more adventurous there are paths for scenic walks along the hillsides bordering the ocean and Natural Park.
Guincho and the small town of Areia, have excellent restaurants offering the best choice of fish and seafood dishes and of regional and international dishes, just a 15-20 min. walk from VILLA PALHA-GUINCHO. There is a bus stop 600 m from the house that goes to the center of Cascais, 7 km away. From Cascais, by car or train you can visit Lisbon just 25 Km. away. As an alternative, Cascais provides free bicycles ( BICAS ) that will enable you to ride along its beautiful coast of Estoril, Cascais and Guincho.
In the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, Cascais, a fishing village, was the summer residence of the Portuguese monarchy, and during World War II constituted shelter to the European Nobility.
Just a short drive away, encircling the sea and enjoying the mountains, you will find small towns worth a visit and the most western point of Europe, Cabo da Roca, before reaching the charming historic town of Sintra. Here you can visit its beautiful palaces and gardens, where the Portuguese monarchy, also spent their summer holidays centuries before.
We receive with hospitality and speak fluent English, French and Spanish.
