VILLAMINA is a beautiful home from home, set in a rural and tranquil location looking out to the majestic Mediterranean in the breathtaking area of Çatalköy.

And yet, despite its' blissful, delightful and peaceful locale, it's just a FIVE-minute drive to beaches, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and other useful amenities.

Ideally positioned, it's under fifteen minutes drive away from the vibrant heart of Kyrenia. The picturesque Old Harbour area which encompasses the impressive 16th century Venetian built Kyrenia Castle, is a popular place to visit while soaking up the local atmosphere and enjoying the multitude of cafés, restaurants and shops in a lively, traditional setting.



Back at VILLAMINA, the colourful, fragrant and mature gardens are enveloped by natural hand-built stone walls and bordered by scores of pink, purple, red and white bougainvillaeas.

The extensive gardens boast many fruit-bearing trees including apple, banana, jujube, lemon, lime, orange, passion fruit, peach, pear and plum.

When in season, the fruits can be freshly picked and of course, enjoyed as you wish!

This beautiful outside space affords absolute privacy, complete relaxation and total wind-down!



Frangipanis, Japanese wisterias, palms and pepper trees accompany a plethora of scented bushes, succulent plants and flowering shrubs that surround the alluring, private and secluded pool.

The overflow pool measures 10m x 5m and has a uniform depth of 1.45m allowing EVERYONE to enjoy bundles of fun in the idyllic surroundings!

We live to the front of VILLAMINA and personally ensure this glorious pool is always in pristine condition so that it can be enjoyed at all times; even under a sky full of stars!



Surrounding the pool is a large patio area with sun loungers, sunshades, tables and chairs. And in addition, a handy outdoor bathroom is close by.

There is also a separate BBQ area with seating where you can indulge in a feast of culinary delights 'al fresco.'



Inside VILLAMINA, every room benefits from striking panoramic views of the mesmerising Mediterranean and the spectacular Beşparmak (Five Finger) mountain range.

There are three well-proportioned bedrooms which can sleep eight people in comfortable beds and for our younger guests, there are cots, high chairs and stair gates top and bottom if needed.

VILLAMINA is fully air-conditioned throughout with efficient, whisper-quiet units in all bedrooms upstairs and a larger unit downstairs. These keep the temperature just as you need it, with each unit providing cool or warm air as required.

All windows and patio doors are fitted with aluminium framed fly screens allowing cooling Summer breezes to amble through as desired.

FREE cable television and fast, FREE WiFi makes it easy to keep in touch during your stay.



VILLAMINA is extremely well appointed with all that's needed for a relaxing and well deserved holiday!

The fully equipped, functional kitchen has an oven; grill and hob; fridge; freezer; dishwasher; washing machine; microwave/grill/oven combo; kettle; toaster and a toasted sandwich maker.

And of course, there's a full range of kitchenware, utensils and everything else you might need for meals at home or to prepare for a picnic at one of the nearby beaches!

A useful water dispenser unit provides refreshing cold spring water with a hot tap option that takes care of all drink needs.

There is a steam iron, ironing board and a clothes horse and quality hairdryers in each of the bedrooms.



Entertainment facilities at VILLAMINA include a Smart HD TV with a FREE, truly comprehensive TV system, showing hundreds of premium channels from the UK and around the World.

Box sets, hit series, live sports, news channels PLUS catch-up TV are all included with On-Demand feature films, Netflix and lots of global radio stations for your enjoyment!

A smartphone, with prepaid credit, is provided for FREE calls and FREE WiFi.



Airy and spacious, VILLAMINA is thoroughly cleaned and fully prepared for your arrival. Luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and plenty of hand towels, bath towels, bath sheets and separate pool and beach towels are provided!

These are replenished with fresh, professionally laundered bed linen and towels at the end of each week of your stay.

All bedrooms are double aspect and benefit from superlative views of the sublime Mediterranean and mountains with even the southern coast of Turkey visible on the clearest days.

The Master bedroom, with its' West facing balcony, has a 1.8m Super King-size bed or twin beds if preferred, with a third single and child cots, also available if needed.

There is a small dressing room area with a SAFE for your valuables leading to an en suite bathroom with a shower, washbasin and WC/bidet.

Bedroom 2 also has a 1.8m Super King-size or twin beds and again, a third single and child cots can be introduced if required.

Bedroom 3 has a large double bed or twin beds to suit.

These bedrooms share a North facing balcony looking straight out to the magnificent Mediterranean!



Naturally, as private hosts, we will be on hand throughout your stay, helping you in any way we can to make sure you enjoy a fabulous holiday!

We have lived in the North of Cyprus for over sixteen years now.

CAR HIRE is RECOMMENDED.

Although having said that, taxi services are prompt and reliable and very reasonably priced!

If you wish, we can arrange everything for you with proven local companies in the North, including return airport transfers from Larnaca and Paphos airports in the South or Ercan airport in the North.

Hire cars are of very good quality and we can either have your car waiting for you on arrival or delivered directly to you the following morning.

Set in the Beşparmak (Five Finger) Mountain foothills, VILLAMINA is located within a five-minute drive of the traditional village centre of Çatalköy with its' restaurants, bars and coffee shops and
there are many more places to eat nearby to suit all tastes.

It is the same distance to local shops, supermarkets, a petrol station, money exchange bureaux and other amenities.

There are also several first-class hotels dotted around, particularly along the coastline offering a variety of high quality but extremely affordable eateries for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack.

Most of them also have water parks and offer many other leisure activities besides, including jet-skiing, parasailing, scuba diving and snorkelling.

They also have superb health and beauty spa facilities, which are very good value given the currency exchange rate.

As mentioned, the main town of Kyrenia is under fifteen minutes drive away with its' many shops, restaurants, bars, Wednesday market, incredible castles, museums and enticing harbour.

By car, VILLAMINA is also just fifteen minutes away from Bellapaıs, famous for the remarkable 12th Century Bellapaıs Abbey which can be seen illuminated at night and where international music festivals are regularly held during the season.

Here too, you will find lovely restaurants in elevated positions where you can enjoy delicious food in amazing settings!

Also lit up at night and again clearly visible from VILLAMINA is the enchanting 10th century St Hilarion Castle which is open to exploring most days and which offers a great setting for photo opportunities given its' towering location above Kyrenia.

There are other Castles to visit too such as Buffavento and Kantara Castles and many other places of historical interest, all within striking distance of VILLAMINA for a memorable day out.

Towards Esentepe to the East, is the 5 Star Korineum Golf and Beach Resort. If golf or tennis is not your thing, just drop in for a refreshing drink or snack on the terrace and enjoy the fabulous views.

Alternatively, drive down to the Clubs' private beach opposite the course entrance.

Gaze out at the Mediterranean and be enthralled by the transcendent sunsets as the sun magically, disappears into the sea.

There is a wide selection of beaches, both man-made and natural within a very short distance of VILLAMINA.

Alagadı Plajı or Turtle Beach as it is known is one such beach.

It is just ten minutes away by car and during the Summer months, you can visit the Marine Turtle Conservation Project and watch the baby turtles hatch from their protected nesting sites and take their very first steps towards the sea before embarking on their perilous journeys.

There is a Night Watch initiative which starts at 20.30 hours. It is very popular and booking well in advance is advised.

Another area well worth visiting is the Karpaz Peninsula or "panhandle" which is East of VILLAMINA.

It's a beautiful, stress-free drive along the coastal route and you may even pass a wandering wild donkey or two along the way!
