The space

The villa (built in 1934, targeted for intervention in the year 2015) is located on the Costa da Laurissilva, on the site of Terra Chã, with views over the village of São Vicente on the island of Madeira (5 minutes walk from the same village ).

It is 30 minutes from the city of Funchal and 45 minutes from the airport.

The house is ready for guests to prepare their meals either in the fully equipped kitchen (for example with a dishwasher and a multi-brand coffee machine) or prepare their barbecues or roasts at the steak house.

Guest access

The property has a total area of ??5050 m2, where is carried out an agricultural activity for consumption, with many fruit trees and laurels. An activity that is contemplated in the agricultural activity, is the culture of the vine for consumption (the traditional Jaqué vineyard and the strawberry vineyard, traditionally known as American grape in the Madeira Archipelago). The wine is produced in the winery of the property, a winery of rod and spindle, and later stored in the Winery / Garces Museum.

Guests on arrival are offered a wine produced on the property. There is a day in the week when there is a test of the wines produced on the property.

Guests have access to the entire property, swimming pool, jacuzzi, steakhouse and swing.

There are private balconies in two of the bedrooms overlooking the village center and a terrace overlooking the pool, grill and surrounding landscape (St. Vincent valley).

There is a space of tea herbs (next to the steakhouse) in which the clients can enjoy them for the elaboration of natural teas.

Interaction with guests

Guests upon arrival are offered a wine produced on the property by the owners. There is a day in the week when there is a test of the wines produced on the property, if there is interest of the customers.
This wine tasting is done at the Garcés Museum / Winery on the property.
If the clients need help in the elaboration of a script / script, it is with pleasure that we collaborate.

The neighborhood

The views / landscape on the village of São Vicente and its surrounding mountains in silence and peace with much tranquility.
The silence of the night is a constant.

Move around

There is a bicycle rental service (adult and child) so guests can visit the interior of the villa and its surroundings.
Easy parking for the cars, the same is done in the street of the House. There are bus stops and taxi rank a 3 minutes walk from the house.
If you need a car with a driver, or rent a car, the House provides contacts and information.
In the house there are the schedules and routes of buses / public transport.
The property is 3 minutes drive from the Caves and Volcano Center of São Vicente, pharmacy, supermarket, traditional restaurant, post office and sea / beach very conducive to surfing.

Other Observations

In the property there is a traditional Madeiran steakhouse (with oven, barbecue area and home) to be used by customers.

Free Wi fi system inside and outside the property, with computer in library / reading room.

The rooms have air-conditioning, plasma TV (DTT), personalized and private WC, one of the WC has Bidet.

Possibility of preparation of meals, in the fully equipped kitchens, even with dishwasher and coffee machine.

Breakfast can be included.


The rate shown is for two people per night, plus the same amount for each extra couple, up to the indicated number of rooms.

Towels (chestnuts) for the pool, jacuzzi are provided by the house.

Towels (white) for personal hygiene and bed linen are provided by the house.
