Take advantage of the good location to reach the museum -villa of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini, located very close to Lake Massaciuccoli and where he composed several important operas. Within walking distance from here is the great open-air theatre where great conductors perform in the summer season. Another activity you can enjoy here is a tour of the lake and the marsh by boat. The house owner provides two bicycles (free of charge). At only 9 km distance is Viareggio, famous for its shipyards, the carnival and the beautiful sea promenade. At 17 km is Camaiore, a town in the heart of the Versilia region, where you can visit the famous Collegiata and the Benedictine Badia and where you can go shopping in the typical shops of the town centre.
