This detached cottage is spacious with a cosy multi-fuel burner, and enhanced further by the views of beautiful Loch Ken. If you are relaxing in the living room or enjoying the large enclosed garden where your dog can burn off energy, the views are just beautiful. Take a wander down to the banks of the river or enjoy a spot of coarse fishing. The perfect relaxing holiday.
The area surrounding Campdouglas Cottage is beautiful and it is ideally located with beaches and a National Scenic Area close by, as well as opportunities for hill walking, mountain biking and water sports, or perhaps visiting renowned gardens, ancient woodland and spotting the abundant wildlife. The area is well recognised for its clear skies and is one of the 12 best stargazing sites in the world, and the first Dark Sky Park in the UK. On your doorstep is the Red Kite Feeding Station where the red kites are fed daily at 2pm, it really is a joy to watch. Why not take a short drive into the bustling market town of Castle Douglas, where you will find a unique shopping experience and many restaurants, cafés and takeaway food outlets. Beach 13 miles. Shop and pub 2 miles, restaurant 3 miles.
