Description

Casa Menaggio is the perfect place to stay for two couples or a family. An elegant and comfortable home nestled in a historic villa on the second floor. Villa Zanzottera, the name deriving form the family that once owned the villa, is a great place to stay as it is within easy walking distance to the town of Menaggio but is out of the centre so you can get all the tranquillity that is necessary to catch up on your rest and relaxation.
To add to the charm of the villa LoveComo guests staying at Casa Menaggio can use the swimming pool in the small complex just next door. Close enough to walk over in with your swim suit and towel and with no entry fees, all we ask is that you purchase a drink or a coffee while at the pool side. It is also possible to enjoy a meal, be it dinner, light lunch or just snacks.
The Villa Zanzottera, the original name of the villa was built in the late 1800's and has an abundance of charm and original features. The entrance and stairs leading up to the apartment are still the original ones as is the terrace overlooking the garden and have direct garden access, from which you have access to from both living room and kitchen. The rest of the apartment has been lovingly renovated and is now a popular vacation home with LoveComo. Casa Menaggio is furnished with taste and care having a comfortable living room with a large wrap around corner sofa, dining area for 6 and a few personal touches from world travels and family heirlooms.
The terrace is large and accommodates seating for six people and is the perfect place for your al fresco meals. There is also an outside kitchen sink and a BBQ, to help with the preparation of your meals cooked outside.
The kitchen, in bright deep yellow tiles is small but functional and also has a breakfast bar. It is well equipped with a dishwasher, kettle, toaster and all necessary equipment for cooking.
The bedrooms are on the upper level, the wooden staircase hidden from the living area leads to the 2 bedrooms and very large bathroom.
The master bedroom, with a queen size bed, is large and airy with a small balcony from where you can enjoy reading a book or having a drink and has views overlooking the garden.
The second double bedroom is also large and boasts a queen size bed overlooking the garden too.
On the landing is the bathroom with a very large shower, double vanity sinks for the family, toilet and bidet just to the back of the room located in a separate corner.
The historic and well tended garden is a great place to relax and enjoy the cool shade. Centennial trees protect the villa and garden, absorbing the surrounding movement.
