Description

The historic farm cottage is surrounded by breathtaking views over Lake Mask and scenery.
It's at the end of a secluded farm road taking you far away from any light or noise pollution.
You will enjoy daytime blinding sunshine and nighttime astonishing million starlights.
Wake up on the singing concert of birds mingled with the bleating of hundreds of sheep.

For cycling lovers there's also bikes for rent. You can enquire with me.

I also organize cycling tours around magical Cong. For bookings go to Airbnb experiences and look for "New Magical bike tour around Cong". The tours are for up to 10 people

A unique extra to the house is the access to the lake.
There's also boats to hire and fishing gear if you are interested in fishing.
Enquire with me.

What can be a plus nowadays is that in the cottage there's no Internet access or television.
So you can really detox here from day-to-day life

It might be convenient to let you know I can communicate in 4 languages if you want to:
- English
- French
- Dutch
- German

An extra attraction this year will be: 'Galway 2020, the cultural capital of Europe'

The place is very remote not to say "At the end of the world". It's perfect for people who love nature, quietness, solitude, peace. It's the unspoilt countryside so most people living here are farmers or holidaymakers.

There's a nice pub "Maíre Luke's" which is 10k from the cottage.
There's also a small supermarket in Clonbur along with two restaurants, the closest village which is 15k from the cottage.
For main shopping with big supermarkets and other shops the nearest town is Ballinrobe, 28k from the cottage.

And although it's remote, it's in the centre of many famous places to visit in the west of Ireland and Connemara.
- The Killary Fjord and Leenane, the only fjord in Ireland, 20k away.
- Clifden, Connemara's capital, 55km away.
- Kylemore Abbey, 30k away.
- The cosy, vibrating town of Westport, 35k away
- The famous village of Cong, well-known for its Ashford Castle and for the film "The Quiet Man", 20k away
- The breathtaking Valley of Lough Inagh, 35k away.
- The Aran Islands, 60k away.
- Cliffs of Moher, 130k away.
So, a lot to visit as well.
