Description

Villa Tigaki 3 is a luxurious distant sea view villa built in 2017 to a high standard, most excellent attention having been paid to every detail. With four deluxe bedrooms and a fabulous private pool, sitting only 800m from Tigaki beach, this is the perfect holiday villa for your family or small group of friends.

Villa Tigaki 3 sits in an immaculate large modern designed garden featuring low terraced beds mirroring the cubist design of the villa, planted up with native flowers and young exotic trees.

Entering the villa on the ground floor, there is a bedroom with twin beds, and an extremely well fitted out gym room with its own large bathroom and shower.

The main stairs take you to the first floor and the remaining three double bedrooms. All bright, cheery and tastefully decorated, two with stunning sea views and the third with a fabulous view of the mountains, there are also two bathrooms on this level. From here, stairs take you up to the second floor. As you reach the top of the stairs, immediately in front of you is a huge window with doors opening onto the veranda overlooking the sea, this whole floor is an open plan area where you will find the lounge, kitchen and dining areas.

The kitchen area is a sun-filled, bright area to work in, very well appointed with ample storage, beautiful crockery and every gadget you might need during your stay. The attention to detail is again apparent with the marble effect flooring of the entire open plan area matching the work surfaces.

The main dining area with a large table is on the covered terrace looking out over to the mountains. The floor to ceiling windows in the lounge area leads out to the uncovered terrace with occasional table and chairs from where you can while away the evening looking onto breathtaking views of Kalymnos and the Turkish coastline, inside it has comfortable sofa and chairs, occasional tables, an open fire and satellite tv.

The centrepiece of Villa Tigaki 3 must be the amazing swimming pool with outside shower, accessed from the ground floor. The pool offers complete privacy with the clever use of the villa walls, planting and decorative stonework. Loungers, umbrellas and tables being strategically placed to ensure full sun, partial shade at different times of the day.

#### Location
Villa Tigaki 3 sits less than a kilometre from one of the islands many long sandy beaches, Tigaki Beach, perhaps the best of them all with its shallow waters providing perfect fun for all the family.

Tigaki village, just as close as the beach, only 5 minutes walk from the villa offers cafe's, tavernas and small local shops. Also in the area close to the villa, you will find Igroviotopos Alikis, in a previous life this wetland functioned as a saltmarsh for salt production. Today, it is a wildlife refuge and a natural area in need of protection because of the great diversity in flora and fauna.

In spring the lake is covered with flamingos, ringed plovers, and other birds that use the lake for nesting, the lake can dry out in summer, but the landscape remains surreal.

Kos town is only 11km from Tigaki and easily accessed by a regular bus service however hiring a car or would allow the freedom to get around the island during your stay.

Kos old town area around Elefthrias Square is entirely pedestrianised, a fabulous area to meander and visit the smaller local shops and cafes, admire the narrow streets and old buildings and spend some of your holiday euros. The harbour and promenade are more modern, always fun to be around the hustle and bustle as boats of all sizes come and go, all day, every day!

The bustling harbour area is the centrepiece of the modern town, however, sitting on the left as you enter Kos from the sea is the truly magnificent Kos Castle of the Knights, the Nerantizia Castle. The perimeter walls and in particular the Nerantizia bridge are a very worthwhile visit, the area within the walls is closed to the public at present since a devastating earthquake in 2017.

Kos is most famous for being the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine. The tree that he once taught under, the Hippocrates Plane Tree (one of the oldest trees in the world) still stands in Kos town and is revered by many visitors each year.
