The Shrine is a striking, contemporary seven bedroom accommodation set on 12,000 sqft of prime, dazzling beachfront land at Porters in the St James Parish of Barbados. The stunning accommodation is comprised of a spectacular five bedroom villa and a two bedroom cottage. The incredible interiors were designed and furnished by Kelly Hoppen MBE so as you would imagine, they are lavish and exquisite. The Shrine comes with staff to ensure your holiday is blissful and luxurious. For six days you will have use of a housekeeper, laundress, 5 Star Michelin Chef and a Butler. How incredible is that!

In addition to the fine stretch of glittering silver sand at your doorstop, you will find a fantastic and glamorous nightlife in Porters and close by, A UNESCO World Heritage listed capital not far away, a beautiful, rolling interior dotted with fabulous botanic gardens, sugar cane fields and plantation houses, brilliant turquoise bays and wild, pummelling surf on the east coast.

The villa and cottage are absolutely stunning with much use of modern materials to make the best of their prime position. A meandering path takes you through the villa's lush tropical garden directly to the beach where you can relax next to the calm, turquoise water with a cocktail and enjoy the peaceful, brilliant setting. The shimmering infinity pool softly blends with the striking Caribbean sea beyond. If the heat is getting to you, you can laze in the water on the trendy semi-immersed loungers. What bliss! There are various choices for alfresco dining and pre-dinner drinks.

The sublime, minimalist interior of the villa and cottage is very impressive. The decor is neutral and extremely elegant. The living spaces flow incredibly well and the kitchen is glossy and sleek. The spacious 1300 sqft master suite is elevated with breathtaking views of the turquoise water. The bathroom and private terrace are incredible. The bathroom is partly open to the elements. You can laze in the deluxe, free standing bath watching the glorious palms sway in front of the brilliant blue sky and sea. There is also a fantastic power shower. The Master suite is on the third floor with another king bedroom which also has an ensuite bathroom with a bath. On the second floor there is a King bedroom with ensuite shower room and on the fourth floor there are two King bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms. The cottage has two stunning bedrooms and bathrooms. The cottage is just as immaculate and attractive as the main villa and would be ideal if you were travelling with an extended family who might appreciate a little space of their own.

Bookings of four guests will only have the use of the cottage. For bookings of up to ten, guests will have the use of the villa. Guests are only able to use both the villa and cottage during the festive period, or upon special request.

The Shrine is absolutely delightful and a fantastic retreat where you can relax easily. The Michelin chef and butler as an added attraction!

#### Location
The Shrine is situated right next to the glorious beach on the calm and smart west side of the island. Barbados packs in an impressive amount for a compact island just a little larger than the Isle of White. You can take a guided walk in the island's rolling interior, exploring the atmospheric plantation houses and the wonderful lush botanical gardens. You can tour the subterranean caves and even swim with turtles.

The Folkestone Marine Park in Holetown spans several kilometres along the coast and was set up to preserve the coral and shallow areas inhabited by the turtles. There are four reserve zones including two sport zones where motorised aquatic sports are permitted, a scientific zone and a recreational zone where you can snorkel in peace and discover the fascinating underwater world.

The Limegrove Lifestyle Centre is one of the most stylish, upmarket places to shop, dine and meander. It is home to the world's leading retail brands including Armani, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Gucci and Ralph Lauren. The open courtyard is charming with a stunning waterfall feature and the dining is wonderful. There are options to try the famous, delicious rum. Many enchanting, quaint Chattle Houses are often boutique outlets selling clothing, jewellery and fine art or are small eateries and cafes.

There are so many options for high-class dining, some waterside, as well as piano bars where you can sip the delicious cocktails along to the sounds of the piano and great vocals.

Not only does Paynes Bay have a spectacular beach, often known as the Platinum Coast, it has a fabulous fish market where you can buy fresh local fish or just watch as the fishermen bring their catches in. Every Friday you can buy freshly grilled fish from the vendors. It is served with delicious Bajan side dishes and other course there are other Bajan delights including grilled chicken, mararoni pie and Bajan rum to wash it down.

Holders Hill is the main polo venue in Barbados. You can spend a very enjoyable afternoon watching the polo. You do not need to understand the rules as the commentator explains as it is played out. You can enjoy a superb afternoon tea at the same time. How civilised!
