Description

With a wood burner, table tennis, vast natural grounds, fantastic views and so much more, this property is a holiday home like no other just a short walk from the sea.. Standing in an elevated position with magnificent views across Loch Craignish and beyond towards the Sound of Jura and The Paps, Corlach is a stunning and contemporary detached holiday home with patio doors opening to east and west terraces for morning and evening sunshine. The busy village of Ardfern is close by, with its range of local amenities, including a village store, a café and a pub. The yacht centre contains a well stocked chandlery with fashionable clothing, as well as hardware. The village of Craobh Haven, three miles away, also has a Marina and a good pub/restaurant.

Nearby, Oban offers a more extensive range of services, with good shopping, a leisure centre and a selection of seafood restaurants. From Oban there are plenty of ferries to the Inner Hebrides, including the isles of Mull, Iona and Staffa.

Much to the delight of history enthusiasts, the area is steeped in a rich heritage. Archaeological remains are in abundance here - Kilmartin Glen has at least 350 ancient relics, 150 of which are prehistoric. Explore the Crinan Canal, Knapdale National Scenic Area, or head to Kintyre Peninsula, with its white sandy beaches and rugged coastline. Wildlife lovers won’t be disappointed either, as the region is a hotspot for porpoise, dolphins, minke whales and basking sharks. Bird-watching highlights include sea eagles, golden eagles and puffins, whilst otters, seals and deer can be seen along the shore.
There are plenty of walks and outdoor activities nearby, including horse riding, fishing on a nearby hill loch, cycling, golf and a variety of water sports to name but a few. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, rugged glens and sea lochs, this is truly an ideal base for touring the west coast of Scotland or simply to relax and take in the view. Beach 1 mile.
