Description
This newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath, duplex is just blocks away from the sought after Alberta Arts neighborhood. Brightly decorated with touches of iconic Portland and funky art. The house is clean and comfortable with a beautiful and well stocked kitchen, cozy living room, comfortable beds with plenty of linens, sparkling clean bathrooms stocked with toiletries, and a fenced in yard complete with a BBQ and patio dining set. Great home base to return to after exploring all the wonders of Portland.
The Space:
We are located in the Kerns neighborhood, across the street from an elementary school. There is a grocery store about 3 blocks away, a brewery next to the grocery store, several amazing restaurants and shops within a mile in any direction.
Our space has plenty of room for 6 guests to be comfortable without being crowded! There is a bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and attached bathroom with standup shower. Upstairs you will find 1 queen bed in a private room with a 55” smart TV and 2 double beds in a 3rd bedroom along with a shared bathroom, located in the hallway, complete with full tub and shower. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion is also provided!
The dining table seats 6 and we have a patio set outside that seats 4 and 2 patio chairs on the front porch that can be moved to back to seat 6 outside.
The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new full size appliances, including a glass top stove, refrigerator with a door ice maker, microwave and dishwasher. The cupboards are stocked with dinnerware, glassware, pots, pans, bakeware, kitchen gadgets and small appliances like a blender and salad spinner. The pantry is stocked with various oils, spices, vinegars, sugar, flour, coffee and tea. We provide you with several options for brewing coffee including a Kuerig, French Press and pour over. You will find a coffee grinder (do not use it to grind spices or anything other than coffee), we try to keep whole bean coffee (hard to buy in bulk) stocked and we always have pods.
The living room has a 55” smart TV, comfy couch, floor pillows, and throw blankets. You will also find fun board games in the entertainment center.
The backyard is fenced in and we have a BBQ that we provide the propane for. If you run out of propane during your stay and would like to get it refilled we will reimburse you with a receipt. It might be faster than getting a team member over to help, some times traffic can cause us to be an hour away even when we are only a few miles away.
There is a driveway behind the house but you must enter and exit from the front door as the only way to lock the sliding glass door that leads to the backyard is on the inside.

The Neighborhood:
So many amazing things, including a fun and energetic farmers market, micro restaurants, unique shops, brewery's, organic grocery shops and several coffee shops.
Getting Around:
Great walking neighborhood, there is a shop around the corner that rents bikes and there is a bus line that will take you downtown or to the Max transit line. A car might be nice to get here and to see sights a little further away but all of the popular spots around the neighborhood have very limited parking so walking or biking might be the most efficient mode of transportation.
Other Things to Note:
The other side of the duplex is owned by the resident living there. We only own our half and are not responsible for the behavior of the neighbor, although we have only ever had positive encounters with him so we don’t anticipate any issues.
