West Lyham is located equidistant between Belford and Wooler, both being only four miles away.
Belford, often described as ‘The Gateway to the Secret Kingdom’ offers many facilities including a pub renowned for its delicious food, along with an impressive golf driving range. A further five miles east brings you to the prestigious coastal village of Bamburgh, dominated by its majestic fortress edged by a wide expanse of golden, sandy sweeping beach where Holy Island can be viewed. A short drive west of The Gable is the friendly market town of Wooler, nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills. This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling and walking, as the challenging route of St Cuthbert’s Way runs close by. Chatton Trout Fishery invites amateur anglers to fish without a rod licence in its picturesque four-acre lake.
