Description

Uninterrupted 180° sea views from Looe island to Rame Head, Surf Song has been extensively renovated during the winter of 2020 / 2021. The open plan living area on the first floor maximises the magical, ever changing, sea views, there is a full width balcony which is a superb spot for an evening glass while watching the glistening sea below. There is a snug TV lounge and an immaculate kitchen with all modern devices including a large range cooker and induction hob, Nespresso coffee machine and wine fridge. Four stunning bedrooms all furnished with the most beautiful attention to detail and bathrooms that exude luxurious decadence. The house features pieces from well know designers such as Tom Dixon, and original photography by Mike Hogan whose work has been featured on the cover of the Radio Times.

Downderry is a little resort village nestled between Looe and Plymouth, this stretch of coastline is stunning, has surprisingly good surf, and is often not as busy as other parts of Cornwall. There is plenty to do, explore the bustling fishing port of Looe or a day trip to Looe Island, the quaint pedestrian village of Polperro with its smuggling museum, a visit to Plymouth to tour the National Marine Aquarium, stroll the Barbican or Hoe or to discover the Naval history of one of the UK's largest maritime ports. Alternatively a trip to Golitha falls on Bodmin moor, the Eden Project or a variety of fine National Trust properties.

Accommodation
Entrance Level: Entrance Hall with stairs leading to ground floor and first floors, doors to; Double bedroom with sea views and storage. Beautiful family bathroom with its walk in shower and extra large freestanding bathtub complete with hand basin and WC. Master bedroom with 6' bed and en suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Double bedroom with 5' double bed and storage. Double bedrooms with 4'6" double bed and storage.
Ground Floor: Large storage room.
First Floor: Stairs lead to open plan living room, flowing from the ocean view kitchen with marble work surfaces. a central island with breakfast stools, double range cooker and a dedicated wine fridge, to the dining area complete with stunning dining table and chairs, two sliding doors that lead out to the full width balcony with panoramic sea views, lounge room and around to the snug TV room complete with L shaped sofa and Smart TV. All serviced with a large bathroom and powder room. There is also an airplay music system. Rear door to garden.
Exterior: Parking for 3 cars to the front of the property, two spaces in front of the garages and one alongside. There is a small garden to the rear with a patio area.

Facilities & Services
Heating is via oil central heating. The kitchen has a range of equipment. There is an double electric range oven with an induction hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine and tumble dryer and a separate freezer. The snug lounge area has a flat screen Freeview Smart TV. There is unlimited Superfast WiFi. Airplay system for playing music from your device in the living area and master bedroom. Gwen, the house manager, will have the property ready with fresh linen and towels for your stay. Gwen is a village local and can provide paddle board lessons along with additional services.

Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking available for 3 cars on the drive. No smoking. There is a cot and high chair available on request. There is an iron and ironing board. There is a hair dryer. If you don't want to drive, Liskeard railway station is a twenty minute (approx £20) taxi ride away, (just under four hours from London Paddington). Dogs are welcome at Surf Song at the small additional cost of £35 per dog per week. Please note dogs may not be left unattended in the property.
