Sports include golf, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, cycling and horse riding, and cruises around the loch and its many islands are available. Duncryne Hill is nearby and provides one of the best 360-degree views in Scotland and a spectacular panorama of Loch Lomond. A RSPB centre and a nature conservancy area is a short distance away, where a large variety of wildlife may be seen, including deer, ducks, geese, herons, raptors and swans. There is also a RSBV centre available. Local visits include distilleries and an aquarium. The numerous attractions in Glasgow and Stirling are within 40 minutes’ drive, or the former can be easily reached by train from Balloch, 6 miles away. Glasgow and Edinburgh airports are also close to hand. Shop, pub and restaurant are all within 3 miles of the cottage.
