Description
Old Saybrook is situated halfway between New York City and Boston, along I-95 corridor.
Newly remodeled, beautiful, quaint, 1920's, 1 bedroom cottage.
Views of South Cove from living room & kitchen. A few steps away, the cove & small boat ramp for kayaks. Direct tidal access to Connecticut River & Long Island Sound.
South Cove is home to osprey, swans, great blue herons, sand pipers, snowy egrets, cormorants, ducks an other species. We even had 3 white pelicans in the cove on December 25, 2015.
The cove & river is full of Bluefish, Carp, and Stripers. Enjoy fishing, crabbing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and much more.
Main Street & downtown is a short walk away. Enjoy the restaurants, bars, shops & the Katherine Hepburn theater, Saybrook Point, Shoreline East & Amtrak (2 miles), Essex Steam Train, boat rentals, outlet shopping, hiking, walking trails. A quick bike ride to Town beach or Saybrook Point by the Connecticut River. Winery visit a short drive away. Local brewery in town.
The kitchen is equipped with a range, oven, toaster, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, blender and coffee maker with seating for four at the kitchen table & 4 at the island top.
The bedroom has a queen bed & dresser. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, cable TV, and wi-fi broadband internet connection. Linens & towels are supplied.
This is a smoke free home. Smoking allowed outside only.
