Description

Aptly named after one of Bob Marley's songs, Villa Jamrock, is a rockstar worthy pad! This unapologetically glamorous home comprises peerless comfort, quintessential Caribbean flair along with European finesse, whilst the grounds offer “wow factor” heights!

Wandering out of this opulent home, guests will find themselves in a veritable parkland; a tropical oasis of swaying palms, the sounds and breezes of the ocean, with hummingbirds and parrots orchestrating a soundtrack, and luscious mango, guava, lime and papaya trees. At the end of the lawns is a romantic gazebo, offering candle-lit dinners overlooking the ocean, and the glittering lights of Montego Bay across the bay, whilst at every turn guests can absorb the changing colours of the Caribbean Sea. Calm nights will offer the sight of fishermen's torches as nets are lain for the fresh fish that will be delivered to the chef the following morning.

Majestic and mystical, outdoor living has been stylishly executed at Villa Jamrock, whilst when it comes to a rocking pool party, the speaker systems, i-pod docks and expanded pool deck will set the scene for lively times, with the scent of hibiscus blooms in the night air.

A discreet staff presence will surreptitiously present gorgeous trays of morning coffee at guests' doors and ensure every detail is covered, pampering to guests' every need, whilst the internationally trained chef makes use of the herb garden for sumptuous cuisine.

The interiors at Villa Jamock blend classical proportions, airy spaces and serene, cooling marble floors along with sedate grandeur, with cutting edge panache and designer verve. Those heady touches such as indoor waterfall garden, rain forest shower jets and state-of-the-art features, keep guests smiling. The palette and styling are in contrast chic, discreet and understated, within the spirit of something very opulent.

The living spaces showcase that quintessentially Caribbean indoor-outdoor interplay - the building-length veranda offers a delightful space for morning coffee overlooking the sea, whilst the indoor lounge is a creamy blend of neutrals, soft upholstery, exposed cedar ceiling and polished mahogany furnishings.

Colonial luxury is present in some of the British touches; the porcelain tea sets and willow pattern upholstery, whilst the low-key opulence by way of chic veranda seating, four poster beds, rocking chairs and jalousie shutters are in keeping with a classic plantation style home. The glittering chandeliers alongside contemporary art simply add a charismatic twist!

Fourteen guests can be accommodated across seven bedrooms at Villa Jamrock, and this home can be booked in conjunction with its neighbouring villa for larger groups.

Villa Jamrock is a decadent choice, effusive in its characterful tones, wonderfully styled spaces and unparalleled grounds - guests will find that they barely need to leave during their stay!

#### Location
Villa Jamrock is nestled in a water-side enclave, just eight miles west of Montego Bay, on Jamaica's north coast. The north of this lush Caribbean island is known for its glitzy developments, crystalline waters and coral reef rich coast, whilst away from the tourist hotspots, there lies a fascinating, colourful culture with music built into its rhythms (birthplace of reggae) and craggy remote mountains through to tropical waterfalls and banana groves.

Montego Bay is an energetic hub of buzzing nightlife, downtown market life, duty-free shopping and parties galore; ‘Mo' Bay' (as it is known locally) is Jamaica's second largest town after Kingston (Bob Marley's birthplace). When it comes to beaches, there is everything from the celebrity dotted Doctor's Cave Beach, which has an 100-year-old bathing club, through to less showy Cornwall Beach, known for its tasty fried fish.

Locally known “Hip Strip,” (Gloucester Avenue), runs parallel to the oceanfront, offering a colourful and vivid three kilometre stretch of bars, boutiques, street vendors and restaurants, whilst in contrast, Downtown is worth a visit, from the cobblestone Sam Sharpe Square, to patty shops, artisans and music vendors through to historical sites like the Gully Market, or local eateries offering an eclectic creole blend of African spices, jerk and plantain, or a shot of rum depending on the mood!

Holden's Reef (100m off-shore) is part of the barrier reef complex that covers much of Jamaica's north coast. Taking a kayak out to the live reef will offer a tropical treat of colourful fish and coral, with snorkelling in shallow water or deeper waters for scuba diving.

The north coast of Jamaica consists of the diverse parishes of St Mary, St Ann and Trelawny, the gateway to spectacular scenery once visitors venture a little from the resort complexes; sweeping cane and coconut plantations, rolling farmlands, mangrove swamps and craggy terrain ideal for hiking, or for a journey to a reggae Mecca, to Bob Marley's birthplace where local Rasta guides will proudly offer tours.

Whether it be deserted coastline or hikes inland to hidden waterfalls, magical coral reef journeys, or bubbling local culture intermixed with shiny tourist hubs, live music or water sports, the north coast of Jamaica has it all.
