Description

Awesome, peaceful, and comfortable traditional Sicilian house, called 'baglio', with an extraordinary courtyard that you will never leave it for any reason! The old villa is located in 'Borgo Bonsignore', a really small and unknown village with just a bunch of houses, just 50 meter up the sea, between the cities Sciacca (20km) and Agrigento (40km), on the southwestern Mediterranean coast. You can go to the withe beach (a kind of paradise) walking for 15-20 minutes, or using the car (for just 3minutes) and after entering an incredible natural river reserve (called 'platani'). So, this means that the beach won’t be crowd. Never .. The Sicilian house is composed by 6 rooms and 4 bathrooms. In the main house, there are 3 rooms on the first floor and the huge living room and the beautiful open kitchen at the ground floor. The other 3 rooms with the respective bathrooms are located in the other part of thHE courtyard If you are looking for a place with swimming pool and others staff like that, probably this is not the right place for you (even if I don't know people that didn't like this place), but if you are looking for a nice place to relax yourself in a comfortable way, far away from everything, to hang out alone on the beach, to go around finding the hidden and nicest part of Sicily, and of course to eat an awesome Sicilian food this is definitely the right place for you. Ps. Paola, the legendary housekeeper, may works for you on request and in some occasions even arrange a traditional Sicilian diner This house, of course, gives you the chance to explore the surrounding area. Highlight spot: Valley of the Temples ("Valley of the Temples") in Agrigento, Selinunte's archaeological park, Sciacca and its thermal complex, Trapani's Salt Pans and Paceco and the numerous oases and reserves cum beaches existing in this area, among which we recommend Scala dei Turchi in Realmonte and the Nature Reserve of Torre Salsa. ps. The huge courtyard it's shared with another Sicilian family (half and half). So be respectful and pay attention to the noise
