Nice and sunny detached holiday villa with private pool only 2 Km from Pisa and its Piazza del Duomo, world-wide famous for its Leaning Tower, and 8 Km from the beaches of Marina di Pisa. The house is located in a private and quiet area, it is furnished with taste and it’s surrounded by a large garden, well equipped for your pleasant relaxing moments outdoors. A large window room leads to a spacious terrace equipped with table, chairs and barbecue, from which you can enjoy the view over the pool. An area of the garden is furnished with swing, slide and sand box for the entertainment of your kids, while grown-ups can enjoy their free time by the pool. Your inseparable four-legged-friend is also welcome! The house is arranged on four levels, connected by a small lift. In the basement room you will find a billiard table and a fitness area with tapis-roulant and cyclette; you can also organize ping-pong tournaments in the garden! The estate is completely fenced and provides a partially covered parking place. Guests will have 6 bikes at their disposal should they wish to set off on adventurous bike tours to explore the surroundings. The kitchen is well equipped; the owner is also willing to organize dinners, cooking classes about home-made pasta, as well as to guide you on your tours by bike around Pisa (services upon request, to be agreed with the owner). The location allows Guests to plan various excursions in the surroundings: The Regional Park San Rossore-Migliarino-Massaciuccoli is only 1 Km away and guarantees a fun day for the whole family thanks to the various activities that it offers surrounded by nature. The renowned Puccini Festival takes place in July and August in the town of Torre del Lago (18 Km); this is held in beautiful outdor location in front of the Massaciuccoli Lake, thus combining wonderful music with an enchanting scenery. The Versilia region (Viareggio-Forte dei Marmi) is only 35 Km away and it’s famous for its long beaches, the seaside resorts and the countless shopping opportunities in prestigious designer boutiques. Don’t miss the chance to visit Lucca (18 Km) and Florence (90 Km). Sport and nature enthusiasts will enjoy the various paths and routes around the Apuan Alps, offering to its hikers breathtaking views of mountains and sea. You can also plan a trip to Carrara (55 Km) and visit the Marble Caves. Pisa airport is 4 Km away. In summer the town of Pisa hosts many concerts and exhibitions, as well as various events, such as the “Luminaria di San Ranieri” on the 16th June, the main tourist attraction: on this night the windows and portals of the historical palaces along the Arno are decorated with lots of “lumini” (small candles in glasses), providing an enchanting scenery for its visitors, with lots of lights and fireworks along the river! On the next day, 17th June, you can witness the competition on the Arno river with the ancient boats bearing the colours of the four historical town districts. Another traditional event is the “Gioco del Ponte” (the game of the bridge), which is held on the last Sunday of June; dating back to the 1568, it reenacts the battle of the two sides of the town divided by the river, “Mezzogiorno” and “Tramontana”. This game is preceded by a historical parade with the characters dressed up in vintage clothes. Last but not least, every four year the town organizes the “Regatta of the four Maritime Republics” (Venezia-Genova-Amalfi-Pisa), with a historical parade and the competition of the four galleons on the river.
