Description
Come and unwind with nature at our self contained cottage. The perfect spot to de-stress, in an idyllic setting beside the river. With large grounds, spa pool and covered deck to enjoy the privacy, peace and quiet. You won't want to go home.
Only 5 minutes from Katikati township, cafes and supermarket. Waihi Beach, Karangahake Gorge, Tauranga and Mt. Maunganui all close by. Plenty of attractions in surrounding area (if you can drag yourself away) .
Our cottage is compact but clean and comfortable. The water is filtered and safe for drinking from the kitchen. The TV has freeview and you are welcome to bring your own Sky de-coder. It also has USB, HDMI inputs, so BYO music and/or movies.
The metal driveway previously wound down to the cottage through our pine forest, which has now been harvested, but the oasis at the bottom is still as welcoming as before. Check out our previous reviews - pre 2009.
Special conditions:
Two night minimum stay. Ideal for couples wanting to chill out.
Children welcome but must be fully supervised due to close proximity of river.
Limited Wi-Fi available by arrangement only
Driveway not suitable for boats or caravans, but plenty of parking elsewhere on property.
Advised to bring insect repellent as midgees can sometimes be a problem.
Extras: Linen and towels (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave.
