Island Activities: There are numerous activities you can enjoy in Barbados! Go on snorkeling and enjoy unforgettable swimming with the turtles and snorkeling with views of brightly-coloured fish and tropical coral reefs. See Barbados from a different perspective with an off-road safari adventure in an open-back Jeep. It's an exhilarating ride through parts of the island you'll never see on a regular island tour.

You will love swimming with the gorgeous sea turtles and snorkeling while enjoying a fabulous Cool Runnings catamaran cruise. Lunch, drinks and transfers are included so all you'll need to pack is a towel, your camera and the sunscreen.

The Barbados Wildlife Reserve is located in the beautiful Scotland District in the north of the island, so even the journey to get there is fun. See the Barbados Green Monkey roaming through the mahogany trees, along with iguanas, turtles, deer and birds. You can visit the snake house & the aviary and hike to the historic Grenade Hall Signal Station.

more Activities: World-renowned Harrison's Cave is not to be missed. It has undergone recent renovation, with the addition of a world-class display centre and three glass-fronted elevators to take you 80 feet down from the cliff top to the cave entrance. You'll never see anything else like this natural wonder—a network of beautifully-lit natural limestone caves with cascading waterfalls and cool streams. Take a guided tram ride between majestic stalactites and stalagmites with photo stops along the way.

For the history buff there is the Barbados Museum, located in the historic Garrison area, showcases Barbadian history from Amerindian settlements to the present day. Just a short distance away is George Washington House, the only location where this former U.S. president stayed outside of North America.

Nature lovers can visit Animal Flower Cave, Flower Forest, Hunte's Gardens and Orchid World, with their breath-taking views and tropical blooms and foliage.

***Newstead Cottage is a piece of heaven... Furnished to a very high standard, it matches any 4-star hotel in comfort and style. Susan has thought of every home comfort to make a stay at Newstead Cottage feel like you are living in your own home. The patio is a perfect place to sit and relax & just soak up the marvels of nature, when the Humming Birds visit in the morning.
Situated just a few minutes from Accra Beach and the many shops and restaurants in Rockley and Hastings, it is not necessary to hire a car. Public transport is easy to use and the bus stop is a few mins walk to the South Coast road. Susan is always willing to provide any help and information to make your holiday a holiday to remember.
***Finding Newstead Cottage was like finding a gem in paradise, after 20 years of visiting Barbados I can safely say that it provides everything that you could want to have a wonderful relaxing holiday. We had our first Christmas in the Caribbean at Newstead Cottage and it certainly will NOT be our last stay!!!
