Description

The original cottage was built in 1962, the re-built cottage was done in 2010. It sits on 1 acre of land surrounded by acres and acres of crown land in a very private bay with only 3 other cottages. It has 3 bedrooms (one queen, two double beds), plus a “bunk house” (double bed + Bunk beds). There are also 3 tent platforms on the property if you want to sleep under the stars. It is a water access cottage. You will need to either book a water taxi to and from the property through Oakview Lodge and Marina ask for Greg or Anna. Alternately if you have your Boaters license we can include a 14ft fishing boat (please send copy of license to owners) additional fee may apply. There are 2 canoes, and a kayak available for use included in the rental fee. The main dock is a 60 ft. floating dock, which is great for swimming, fishing, sunbathing and late afternoon cocktails. There is an old floating swim platform that hosts the tetherball pole, because playing tetherball on a floating raft is way more fun! There is a fantastic rope swing on the lake (blueberry island), and cliff jumping on Big Hawk lake. Little Hawk is reported to be the deepest lake in the Haliburton area which means very clean water and shore line. Terrific fishing, waterskiing, wake boarding, tubing etc.
You will be expected to take all garbage and recycling with you when you leave. The Hawk Lake Landfill is on Little Hawk Lake Road as you leave.
Check in time, around 3-4pm. Check out by 11am.
