There is a private courtyard furnished with a bbq, table and chairs and a parasol, and also a lawned area with a picnic bench and wonderful sunset views across the countryside towards Mortimer forest. The Hop Kiln is ideal for people wanting to explore the beautiful Welsh Marches area. It is close to Ludlow with its renowned food and antique shops, restaurants set in glorious medieval and Georgian buildings. The castle is the location in June and July for a major arts festival and in September for it's world famous food festival. Nearby is Tenbury Wells, an attractive small market town, with good food shops and a family run supermarket with a strong emphasis on local produce. It is excellent walking and cycling country with rolling countryside, the drama of the Clee Hills and the tranquillity of Mortimer Forest.
