Veduta - Ghasri Holiday Home

Description

Veduta is a charming Gozitan house with many original features plus an inner courtyard, a large pool area, a palm orchard and a roof terrace with fantastic views of the Citadel over rolling fields and terraces.

Lovely old wooden doors lead into a large hall. Off to the right is another hallway with doors into an inner courtyard and outdoor stone stairs up to the terrace. Off this hallway is a charming double bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Further down the main hall is a wc and a large, light and airy open plan living room/dining room/kitchen. Large double patio doors lead out to the pool area and let light flood into the house.

A curved stone spiral staircase leads up to the first floor landing with a double bedroom with a wet room and a twin bedroom plus a shower room. There is ample room in the twin room for an extra bed. Cots are also available.

The house is located in the charming village of Ghasri with its signature red domed church. A short distance away is the fabulous church of ta Pinu that, since the rumour started in 1883 of our Lady of Ta ‘Pinu talking to a local, has been a pilgrim destination for many. Visitors include St John Paul 11 and Pope Benedict XV1. The Inland sea and spectacular blue hole are a short drive from here as is the local craft village. The capital of Victoria is a ten minute drive away and a visit to the ramparts of the Citadel to see 360 views of the Island is a must.

The house has fans and, air conditioning in the bedrooms, for both cold air and heat. The air conditioning units are operated using one and two euro coins.
