Description

Le Peyrat is is a self catering Villa, ideal for children and adults. A newly converted barn positioned in 2 acres of mature gardens with a private securely fenced heated pool. The property has been extremely tastefully renovated, many of the original features have been maintained and it has all the modern comforts. The property is spacious, there are five well apportioned bedrooms with en suites, a sixth bedroom for the children with changing facilities, cots are available. The living area is centered on a beautiful open minstrel gallery, with a stunning chandelier. There is a large well equipped kitchen and dining area opening onto a terrace with a stream running beneath it, ideal for relaxing. The large lounge living area is light and airy, overlooked by the upstairs gallery, with satellite TV / DVD and a small area for the children to relax and play. French doors open onto a large terrace with a barbecue, overlooking the pool, mature gardens and children's play area with a treehouse and trampoline, and mini football pitch. A beautiful shaded seating area with sofas has been added to the garden so parents can relax while watching their children play, or simply enjoy a quiet place to sit and read. Our guests spend most evenings in the this area relaxing. In addition to this there is a boules court, babminton rackets and tennis rackets available. Bikes can be hired locally, all children bikes are free of charge if adult bikes are rented.
Le Peyrat has its own chef who cooks at the house on request , he is very popular for special occasions. He also can delivery meals daily that are prepared, but need reheating.


Golf courses.: There are four golf courses within 50 minutes drive the nearest being Grand Sainte Emillionnais 18 hole golf course , near Saint Emilion, deigned by world renowned architect Tom Doak. 17km from Le Peyrat. Chateau Vigier , 25km, an internationally renowned golf course , spa and restaurant. It is a unique 27 hole golf course, set in 450 acres of stunning countryside, in the heart of the wine districts of the Dordogne, Château des Vigiers offers an exceptional place in which to unwind and relax. A second 18 hole course, set amongst forest is a 30 minutes drive from the property.


Wine Tasting & Restaurants: We are situated on the heart of wine country, you can savour award winning Bergerac, Bordeaux and St Emilion wines. Wine tasting can be organized by the owners
The region is known as the gastronomic region of France, you can eat superb quality food at fabulously low cost. Within 10 minutes drive from the property there is a superb choice of restaurants and bistro's.

Markets: Shopping un the bustling markets is a must there is a market on every day in the local towns. St Foy la Grande is officially recognized as one of the 100 best in France, the narrow 12th century streets come alive every Saturday morning to the sites, sounds, smells of a fantastic market that seems to sell just about anything you can think of! Spend an hour or two wandering around then head for the central square for a coffee or beer and watch the world go by. During the summer months night markets are a must, there are two weekly night markets one on a Tuesday and the other on a Friday night, both under 10 minutes from the house.
A fantastic family adventure day in the trees at Accrozarbre, 9 excellant courses for all ages, starting from 4 years old. The park is a 25 minute drive near Bergerac.
