Set across two storeys and between three apartments, 12 guests can be accommodated across seven bedrooms and three bathrooms. Outdoor living has been seamlessly thought out, meeting the needs of the group or family. Luscious green lawns are framed with a thicket of trees and woods, while there is abundant space to spread out and roam. The pool is set within an elegance terrace, with indulgent loungers and parasols. The gardens feature a kids play area, and the pool has a Roman steps style entry.

A shaded dining veranda and brick-built barbecue set the scene for long and lazy alfresco meals, perhaps breakfast after a refreshing morning swim, or an evening seafood dinner with local wines under the balmy night air.

The interiors at Villa Dennes blend a relaxed, low-key vibe with airy proportions, together with all contemporary comforts, from flat-screen satellite television to air-conditioning. Simple, yet stylish, the living space sets the right tone for family downtime, with a neutral palette offset with accents of vivid red and over-sized sofa. The open-plan kitchen-dining space of Apartment 1 is modern, fresh and sleek, with glossy red surfaces contrasting with steely industrial greys and top-grade fittings.

There are two further apartments, one on the ground floor and another on the first floor, both offering open-plan kitchen-dining and living spaces, two bedrooms and one bathroom each. The layout of this villa allows the group to enjoy the best of group time and privacy. The upper balcony offers the ideal spot for morning coffee as the village comes to life, or an evening pre-dinner drink at the end of a busy day. The bedrooms are both serene and restorative, unfussy spaces, each with their own accents of colour.

#### Location
Near the centre of both Ika and Lovran, and 6km from Opatija, sits the Villa Dennes. The beach at Lovran is known as Medveja and is a good choice for beachside cocktail-sipping or a stylish family day out.

Set at the base of the Ucka Mountain, Lovran is a pretty town with a rich architectural heritage. In addition to several Baroque houses in the town square and a medieval tower, the 14th-century church of St George has a magnificent series of frescos. Lovran is named after the laurel trees that feature heavily in the town (lovor), and its promenade walk connected it to Opatija. Lovran is well located to both enjoy the Istria coast and the Kvarner Bay together with its islands, making this a great base for exploration of the region. Croatia's major port, Rijeka is only 14km distance, and despite its elegance is it a colourful city rocking with a vibrant nightlife scene, summer festivals and Croatia's most colourful carnival - it acts as the gateway to the islands of the Kvarner Bay.

Opatija is an elegant town brimming with old-world charm and belle epoque villas from the Austro-Hungarian empire. The town prettily meaders along the coast between forest-thick hills and the sparkling Adriatic, with a long waterfront promenade which is a gathering point for the locals. Whilst there aren't great beaches, there is excellent swimming in Opatija.

Lovran is excellently positioned for day trips to some of Croatia's national parks (Plitvice, Brijuni or Risnjak), as well as the islands of Krk, Cres and Rab. The Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of Croatia's best-kept secrets, with 16 majestic lakes connected by stunning waterfalls and cascades. Visitors will enjoy this unique oasis of natural beauty by walking along the paths and wooden bridges or taking a tour by small train and boat.

2km east of Opatija, visitors can enjoy the ultra-pretty local fishing village of Volosko; it is steeped in local flavour, whilst fishermen are seen mending their nets on the shore against the backdrop of colourful houses offset by flower-filled balconies and winding alleyways; it offers a smattering of excellent restaurants.
