Lovely Cottage, Private Garden

Description

Farmendon is a lovely home from home ideal for family holidays or romantic break. Guests love the views from the kitchen and dining room, overlooking the enclosed south-facing garden, towards the hills opposite and particularly enjoy watching the birds feeding on the patio (look out for the woodpecker). Week bookings are Saturday to Saturday. The Chorpy ring is within walking distance of the cottage. Whilst the strict cancellation policy remains in place, if govt regulations mean guests are not allowed to visit, a full refund will be offered. Note, please send an Enquiry instead of Reservation Request (cheaper for you).
The living room is spacious and comfortable (enjoy a good book in the rocking chair), with central heating and an electric fire for chilly evenings, smart tv, dvd and video players and an extensive collection of dvds/videos (and there are lots of books stored in the cupboard in the single bedroom, along with board games).
The kitchen is very well-equipped, with all mod cons, including full size dishwasher, full size fridge/freezer, and washing machine and tumble dryer in the outhouse on the patio (there is also a rotary linen for drying clothes).
There is a separate spacious dining room, with good views over the garden to the hills, with lovely collection of Willow pattern plates.
Bedrooms are roomy, with antique furniture and lovely linen. The master bedroom overlooks the garden, with good views past the chapel to nearby hills, and has a superking zip link bed, which can be made into twin beds if required (note, it's normally set up as superking, so you need to request twin beds when you book). The second bedroom looks out over the village and has a double bed. Third bedroom is a single and there is an extra single mattress to go on the floor (mention it's needed when you book).
The private, south-facing garden is perfect for children and dogs, with a sheltered patio where parents can sit in the sun with a glass of wine and keep an eye out!
Parking for one car is to the side of the house (plenty of free public parking nearby for more cars) and a tearoom/bistro, cafe and local pub are just yards away. There are many walks direct from the door.
Dog-friendly, Farmendon is an ideal holiday cottage, with beautiful Swaledale scenery around in every direction (many walks direct from the door) - you'll return here again and again! Free wifi. Dogs welcomed! Sorry, no smoking. Week bookings are Sat to Sat. Note, for the week 28 May - 4 Jun, we are only taking a full week booking.
