Description

You will be absolutely delighted at first glance of your holiday villa, a stunning cubist design on three levels offering luxurious accommodation. The courtyard with its artisan paving and exotic trees draw your eyes towards the steps up to the first-floor entrance and then to the full height windows on the terrace on the top floor. With four deluxe bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests it is a perfect holiday villa for a family or small group of friends.

Entering through the front door of the villa, there is a double bedroom with a double bed, a sofa bed and garden view terrace, a well fitted out gym room with a separate bathroom with bath and shower.

The first floor has the remaining three bedrooms. All bright, cheery and tastefully decorated, two doubles, one with sea view the other looking onto the mountains. The third is a studio style room with twin beds, a kitchenette, shower room and a terrace looking out to the sea, ideal for those seeking for a little more privacy. There are also two bathrooms on this level.

From here, stairs take you up to the second floor, a fabulous open-plan area where you will find the lounge, kitchen and dining areas of which there are two! One between the lounge and kitchen areas the other on the partially covered terrace which also has a built-in barbeque.

The kitchen is elegantly designed, well equipped with crockery and every gadget required to cook at “home”, large patio doors lead onto a covered terrace area looking south over the mountains.

The lounge area has comfortable sofas and chairs, occasional tables, an open fire and satellite tv, with large windows opening onto the terrace with spectacular views out to Kalymnos and the Turkish coast.

Slightly ahead of the first impression of this villa for the "wow factor" comes the outdoor pool, a fun eight-shaped design with integral plunge pool and outside shower. Loungers, umbrellas and tables are placed around the pool to take full advantage of this stunning area. Clever planting of palm trees and use of the external walls of the villa ensure that plenty of shade is provided should the heat of the sun become too much.

#### Location
Villa Tigaki 2 is in a quiet location but within walking distance of the centre of the village of Tigaki which has a number of Greek-style shops, cafe's, tavernas and restaurants and the beach, perhaps the best on the island. You can also catch the bus to Kos town 11km away, the main city on the island of Kos, where there is a choice of cafe's, restaurants, shops and nightlife to suit everyone.

Kos's culture has evolved out of its rich ancient heritage. The Old Town is entirely pedestrianised, a fabulous area to meander and visit the smaller local boutiques and cafes, admire the narrow streets and old buildings. The harbour and promenade are more modern, always fun to be around the hustle and bustle as boats of all sizes come and go, all day, every day!

The bustling harbour area is the centrepiece of the modern town, however, sitting on the left as you enter Kos from the sea is the truly magnificent Kos Castle of the Knights, the Nerantizia Castle. The perimeter walls and in particular the Nerantizia bridge are a very worthwhile visit, the area within the walls is closed to the public at present since a devastating earthquake in 2017.

The island is sprinkled with archaeological gems dating back over 3000 years, the most significant and well known of which, the Asklepion, 4km from Kos town, is well worth a visit, fabulous views across to Turkey are to be had if you make it to the top of the stairs.

The port town of Mastichari, 22 km from Kos is an excellent place to sample fresh seafood, local fishermen fill the harbour daily supplying the local tavernas and surrounding villages with their daily catches. The local wine festival held each august is Mastichari's signature cultural event for those wishing to sample homemade wines Greek delicacies and music. The beach here is ideal for swimming and water sports, windsurfing being a firm favourite.
