The accommodation:

Welcome to the Landhaus Kurzenmoor. We offer this thatched roof house (approx. 630 sqm) with a high recreational value in the middle of nature for single use, secluded and yet only 20 minutes by car from the city limits of Hamburg. Trendy districts such as Eimsbüttel and Ottensen can be reached by car in 30 minutes, the Inner Alster and Hafencity in 40 minutes.
It is 10 minutes to the Elbe with its endless bike paths, the North Sea at Büsum can be reached in just over an hour, about a quarter of an hour longer to the "largest sandpit in the world", St. Peter-Ording.
In the morning, our guests are woken up by the neighboring cows or the rooster, sometimes a pheasant dares to venture into the extensive grounds.
The house stands on a plot of almost 1 hectare in the middle of wide meadows. In spring the ducks frolic on our pond.
The house offers approx. 630 sqm 10 individual bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, a modern kitchen and a huge living and dining room with over 7m high ceilings, ancient beams and a large, rustic fireplace.
A second 100 sqm room with sauna, sofa corner with TV and a Swedish Bullerjahn stove can be used as another bedroom or living room.
There is also a cozy counter and its own small fitted kitchen.
We provide bed linen and towels once for your stay.
We have a large collection of games that you are welcome to use. Many books are waiting to be read in our bookcase. It can and should be exchanged with pleasure.

In harmony with nature: we love our beautiful garden and the diverse flowers that it gives us throughout the year. Our own apples, raspberries or rhubarb and mirabelles are our pride (you are welcome to have a snack!), we also let the garden be nature and offer insects and other animals a habitat.




We offer:

TV, sauna, fireplace, Bullerjahn stove, bar, WiFi by arrangement, large game collection, lots of books, slippers;

Outside there is a tree house with a slide and fire brigade, cable car, sandpit, trampoline and swing for the children (all at your own risk!), Garden part, terrace

In the fully equipped kitchen for up to 33 people you will also find a kettle, a Nespresso Dolce Vita coffee machine and a filter coffee machine, plus milk frother.




Interaction with guests:

The house and the property are basically available to guests. There are 3 terraces (south-west and northeast side, each with a lot of sun). After consultation you can use the modern gas grill.
Children are welcome and have plenty of space with us. With us it is cozy and familiar.



The neighborhood

It is quiet, relaxing, far away from the hustle and bustle and everyday stress, but there are still all the shops you need nearby (Elmshorn, 5 minutes by car, has a pedestrian zone with ao. H&M, Budni, a great weekly market, a small harbor and the regional train that takes you to Hamburg Dammtor / Altona in 20 minutes), a direct connection to Sylt and Kiel is also from Elmshorn, there are many farm shops, very good cycling opportunities, one is in ten minutes by car to the dike, the Elbe and the Elbe beach.



transport:

Right on our doorstep is the bus 6503 towards Elmshorn, bus stop "Kurzenmoor 12-14" in Seester.
A parking space is available to guests directly in front of the house.
A taxi ride from Fuhlsbüttel Airport costs around 60 euros. Alternatively, you can take the train to Elmshorn and from there take a taxi (5 minutes) or the bus.








House rules:


-No Smoking
- Pets only after consultation

-Check-in 17:00, check-out 10:00. Depending on the workload, we can also arrange an earlier check-in time or later check-out time. We charge 50 euros per extra hour.

-No smoking in the house. When smoking in front of the house, please keep a sufficient distance from the thatched roof and dispose of it in the ashtray.

-Please separate the rubbish: we have an organic, paper and residual waste bin and yellow bags. Please dispose of your empty glass bottles in the old glass containers at the entrance to Elmshorn, because our cleaning lady is coming by bike!
Garbage fees are included in the rental price, but only within the usual scope. If your z. B. decorated for your wedding or other events and then there is a lot of garbage, please understand that we will ask you to dispose of this extra garbage yourself or to purchase garbage bags from us.

-Grill: You have a modern gas grill at your disposal, which you can use at your own risk. Please leave the grill as clean as you found it. Otherwise I have to deduct 20 EUR cleaning costs from the deposit.

-The final cleaning fee does not include cleaning dishes, cutlery, pans, pots, etc. Please take care of it yourself and put everything back in its place. We have a dishwasher - it's best to bring a few tabs from home! Please leave the house swept clean and furniture where it was before.

-For 5 euros you get a sack full of firewood from us

-Dogs can come for an additional cleaning fee of 40 EUR.

-For the use of the sauna, we charge a flat rate of 5 euros per use including 2 sauna towels, we would be happy to lend you any additional towels for 2 EUR.

- We cannot accept any liability for the playground equipment from the tree house to the cable car, swings and trampoline. Some of them are self-built and extensively tested by my own children. However, they have not been approved by the TÜV or any other public body - so the following applies: Use at your own risk and only under the supervision of your parents.

- Unfortunately, we have had a few bad experiences, especially with larger groups, when it comes to observing the house rules, especially the order and cleanliness when returning. Therefore, in some cases I will include a surcharge of EUR 200 before booking, which I will reimburse via Airbnb immediately after the stay if everything went well - and luckily that is the rule.
