Newly Renovated for Easter 2020 - Damson Cottage is a delightful mid terrace cottage on the very peaceful Dittisham Court. With access to communal orchard and gardens as wall as a private patio garden, the cottage is dog friendly and is perfect for couples or small families to enjoy a getaway in the beautiful riverside village. The cottage is the heart of the Dittisham only a short walk from the village pubs and shop as well as the quayside. Crabbing from the pontoon is a firm favourite for children and the nearby Ham provides a great space for them to let off steam. Pet friendly, parking onsite.


Accommodation:

The front door leads into the hallway with space for coats and boots. Straight through to the light and airy sitting room with sofa and armchairs, TV with DVD player. French doors fill the room with light and take you out to the sunny patio with garden furniture. A the near end of the room there is a dining area with table and chairs for 4. A brand new kitchen has been fitted nd boasts an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A serving hatch connects the kitchen to the living room. On the ground floor there is also a small cloakroom with toilet and wash basin.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and views across the orchard and village, with a chest of drawers, built in wardrobe and en suite shower room with power shower and wash basin. (No toilet in the en suite shower room). The second bedroom is a twin room with 2 x 3' beds and built in wardrobe. There is also a family bathroom with bath, electric shower over, toilet and wash basin on this floor.

Outside:

Damson Cottage benefits from a sunny private patio accessed via the French doors from the living room. With garden furniture and views across the shared orchard this is the perfect spot for a peaceful alfresco meal or quiet spot to sit and read. The orchard is accessible via a few steps at the end of the patio area.

Guests also have access to the 4 acres of communal ground on Dittisham Court this includes large grassy areas with vantage points over Bow Creek and over towards The Quay, as well as the orchard at the bottom. Guests are welcome to exercise dogs on the grounds however we ask they are kept on leads.


Parking:

There is a private parking space for one car outside the front of cottage. Please note you need to drive under an arch with a height restriction of 7'6".


Nearby:

The village pub The Red Lion is a 5 minute walk around the corner, The Red Lion also hosts the village shop and post office. A 10 minute walk will take you to The Quay where you will find the Ferry Boat Inn and The Anchorstone Cafe as well as ferries to Greenway and Dartmouth. The closest beach is Blackpool Sands a 10 minute drive away.


Availability:

In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to Saturday changeover and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please do contact us with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible.
Out of peak season we don't need to keep to a Saturday changeover.
