The newly-listed Blue Crab Cottage is located in the heart of Daufuskie Island's famed "Historic District.” It is a perfect family and well behaved K9 “get away from it all” kind of place offering both seclusion and ready access to the incomparable Bloody Point Beach and a variety of island amenities.

This beautiful house provides the ideal location for discovering the delights of our special island, including art galleries, the Daufuskie Island Distillery, the island museum, the community farm, and the highly acclaimed “School Grounds Coffee Shop,” located in the historic Mary Fields School where the author Pat Conroy once taught.

The Blue Crab Cottage is located just off Beach Road, which will shoot you down to Daufuskie’s best beach. The owner has thoughtfully arranged for a local cart company to provide a 4 person cart for your convenience. Exploring the island is made easy (and fun!) on this cart! (We will help facilitate the rental of an additional cart should you need one.)

This lovely home includes a wrap-around porch with gas grill, yard and eating area, and plenty of outside space for family activities. It is situated in a very quiet and secluded area, and provides a perfect location for those who want a safe and beautiful setting, yet still offering easy access to all that Daufuskie has to offer.

The Blue Crab Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, stove, oven, refrigerator with ice maker, ironing board, vacuum, all dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and anything you will need to provide the utmost comfort. The home has king size beds in each of its three spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. (Let us know prior to your stay if you want us to convert one of the beds to a twin bed setup.)

Getting away from it all doesn’t mean you have to forego modern conveniences! The house offers high-speed WIFI provided by a newly-installed fiber optics system. Guests will also enjoy sitting around the living room’s large flat screen TV, which has cable and Smart TV functions.

The house really is perfect for a family gathering, or simply good friends. There are plenty of inside and outside lounging spaces. It is pleasantly decorated and sparkling clean. (Our top-rated cleaning service follows COVID best practices procedures, and all linens are laundered between rental groups.) We also provide a starter supply of paper goods, soaps, shampoos, trash bags, etc. Run out? You can zip over to one of the island’s two General Stores to stock up.
