Description

This charming farming farmhouse is located in the heart of the Tuscia countryside, in close proximty of Lake Bolsena (500 m as the crow flies). The holiday home is situated on a large property in a hilly position where there is a further farmhouse at 300 m, plus an outbuilding that is occasionally occupied by the owner. The house has been renovated with great care and manages to balance the traditional feel with modern furniture and comfort. There is a lovely and spacious living area adjacent to a generous eat-in kitchen. On the ground floor are a two bedrooms each with ensuite. On the first floor of the property guests will find a second living space with an additional two bedrooms equally with ensuite bathrooms. The large garden area is ideal for relaxing moments and to enjoy meals outdoors. The region is famous for its wine production, but also for its proximity to the picturesque Lake Bolsena, the largest Crater Lake in Italy, surrounded by forests, vineyards and olive groves. The proximity to the lake makes this accommodation ideal for sports enthusiasts: there is the opportunity for sailing, fishing, boating, paragliding, hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. Lake Bolsena is also suitable for swimming and is one of the cleanest lakes in Italy. Its beaches are just 1 km from the house and in Bolsena is also a tourist port. Other places of interest include; Montefiascone, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and the most wonderful sunsets. In the many restaurants of the town you can taste the culinary delicacies of the region. Ideal location to visit both Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany. Rome is 117 km away and well connected by train. The house extends over 2 floors which are not connected internally, only through external stairs.
