Less than five kilometers from the Atlantic coast, the charming village of Arbonne combines Basque terroir and tradition. In the Middle Ages, the village served as a summer residence for the bishops of Bayonne.
While strolling through the village, you should not miss the old benoîterie which is today an exhibition space for painting and crafts, the Saint-Laurent church and its wooden galleries similar to the Saint -Etienne d'Espelette as well as the steles of the old cemetery. Also admire the houses with traditional Basque decoration.
