Description
Casa Cindrel is located in a quiet, picturesque corner of the Cindrel mountains, which is a continuation of the Carpathian mountains. Close by is the new Transalpina tourist route which crosses the mountains from Translyania into southern Romania.
The house is a traditional village house with some modern touches. Wake up to fresh air, morning mists, hot summer sun, and relax in the evening air with amazing star lit skies.
Will sleep up to five people: A double bedroom, a room with a bunk bed, and living room with sofa-bed.
Two bathrooms, one with bath, the other with a wet room.
Outside, the courtyard covered by vines leads to a traditional barn looking onto an old fruit orchard. The orchard leads up the side of the hill, and is a great place to relax in the evening with a glass of wine, overlooking the sounds and sights of traditional village life.
The village is a great stepping off point for visits to medieval Sibiu, a European capital of culture, or deeper into the mountain trails and routes, such as the Transalpina.
A car is essential for trips out, but for walkers, trails are right on your doorstep.
An oil filled radiator is provided if needed. The house has an electric water heater. Full self catering facilities included.
