Nice independent holiday apartment in the complex of the Castle di Petroro, among the green hills of Umbria, 8 km from Todi. The Castle is composed of several adjacent accommodations forming a unique architectonical complex all around the central square where stand the towers of the south side and the "pigeon tower" of the east side. A great millstone inthe center of the square reminds the presence, inside the castle, of an oil mill which stood next to the common oven. . A large shared oven where it is possible to cook. On the square is the entrance of the Abbey with the shared rooms of the refectory of the monks, the medieval well and the shared garden. Inside the castle it is possible to visit the Chapel of San martino de Porres. Ideal position to visit the famous Piazza del Popolo or the Church of San Fortunato in Todi, Montefalco (20 km), Spoleto and Perugia (40 km). Assisi, town of the patron saint of Italy, is 55 km away. The castle accommodates the monastic order of the Orthodox monks Martiniani producing organic foods such as olive oil, cheese and herbs and organizing cooking classes.
