#### Location
Situated within a complex of villas and mere moments from a sandy stretch of beach, the villa enjoys a picturesque setting on the Troia Peninsula. The coastline is one of Portugal's most beautiful, with its unspoilt beaches, crystal clear waters and pine-covered dunes and hills. Supermarkets, bars, restaurants and a golf course are all within short driving distance of the villa.
Go through the gate at the end of the garden and spend a day out on the beach. Due to the natural shelter provided by the surrounding hills, the waters here are calm and ideal for swimming. It's also a very quiet spot, so you'll have plenty of space to relax and for the children to play. Near the beach in front of the house you can often see local fishermen selling their catch of the day. Other popular beaches within a 15-minute drive include Praia de Troia Mar and Praia da Questa.
Drive around 10-minutes north of the villa to Troia Marina and take the ferry across the Sado estuary to the city of Setubal. You'll arrive at the busy port in around 15-20 minutes and find plenty to see and doing in this historical city with a rich fishing heritage.
The central avenue in Setubal's centre is home to many attractions, including the beautiful Art Deco market hall, Mercado do Livramento. Here you can stock up on fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as a range of local delicacies, all whilst taking in the bustling atmosphere. The narrow streets off the main plaza are full of shops, so you can indulge in some retail therapy. History lovers won't want to miss strolling around the numerous museums and religious buildings dotted around the city.
