Quinta do Vento is located just at 8km from the medieval village of Palmela, where you can visit the historic Center and the Castle, the various viewpoints and enjoy the wonderful wines, the Moscatel wine, the Cheese and regional pastry. The city of Setúbal is a 5-minute drive away and offers a wide range of high-quality fish and seafood, as well as a vibrant environment where the picturesque fisherman's experience harmonizes with the development of a rapidly developing city. From art galleries to museums, traditional shops, a large shopping center, typical fish restaurants and fine dining restaurants, when in Setúbal you can find a wide range of ambiances and gaze at one of the most beautiful bays in the country.
The Serra da Arrábida Natural Park is a protected area due to its high biodiversity value where you can find a natural and magnificent environment, whether by car, trekking or cycling. On the mountainside there are lovely small beaches of fine sand, not wavy nor windy, where you can also experiment canoeing, paddleboarding, scuba diving, dolphin watching (unique species) and, of course, relaxing! The beaches of Figueirinha, Creiro, Galápos and Galapinhos are about 20min. by car.
The village of Azeitão is 14km away and offers you the best of its cuisine: tortas de Azeitão, the Azeitão cheese and high quality wines and Moscatel. At 29km, you can visit the picturesque fishing village of Sesimbra, where tasting the seafood is mandatory. The vibrant city of Lisbon is just 49km away.
For golf enthusiasts, there are several golf courses in the region, such as Palmela and Troia, which are 15 km-30 km away. Cross the Sado River on the Catamaran or Ferry Boat and visit Troia, with its natural dunes, beautiful extensions of fine white sand and unsurpassed beauty. Head to Comporta and enjoy a magnificent sunset to the sound of a DJ while enjoying a refreshing cocktail. For those who want to explore a little more of the local history, visit the Troia Ruins (archaeological site) where there are still traces of the Roman passage through the peninsula.
Quinta do Vento is a ground-based villa set in a 23-hectare estate with vineyard. During the harvest season, from mid-August to September/October, guests can observe and learn about the vine directly from local workers and taste the muscatel grapes so typical of this region.
This villa allows a maximum occupancy of 10 people. It has 5 bedrooms, two are en-suite. There is a bedroom with 2 single beds and 4 bedrooms with double beds, one of which is especially large. The villa has 3 bathrooms with shower, 1 WC, a large living and dining room with fireplace, a small living room with fireplace allowing direct access to the pool. The kitchen is large and fully equipped, where there is also a fireplace.
On the backside of the property, guests will find a private outdoor setting with a well-kept garden and a large swimming pool with stunning views of the Serra do Louro, Roteiro dos Moinhos and Palmela Castle. The existing outdoor furniture allows guests to dine outside while enjoying the calm and tranquillity of the countryside and can even barbecue near the pool area where there are also sun loungers for sunbathing. The house has satellite TV and free Wi-Fi within the covered space of the house. The house has central heating for the winter stays.
