Description

Situated within the rolling countryside of the Minho region and with stunning vistas of the surrounding area, Casa Coura is a stylish villa with luxury features and a sleek finish throughout.

Beautifully renovated to an exceptional standard, Casa Coura has maintained much of its character and charm for a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. High-quality furnishings and rooms that complement each other with a harmonious design create a villa that's as impressive as the views it commands.

On the ground floor is a spacious open plan living area that's perfect for relaxing, dining and socialising. Two comfortable sofas are the main feature of the room and are ideal for sitting back and watching a film on the flat screen television. Behind this space is the kitchen/dining area that includes a large wooden dining table and chairs that can accommodate up to 10 people.

A contemporary fireplace provides an attractive focal point to enjoy while eating meals and for extra warmth during the colder months. A reception area is bright and airy, thanks to the patio doors that lead onto the outdoor space. Here also is a guest shower room and Turkish steam room for two where you can relax and refresh after enjoying an afternoon in the garden.

A twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom has been specially designed for wheelchair users, as there is plenty of space in which to move around with ease.

There are four double bedrooms on the first floor, of which two have double beds, and two have twin beds. Each bedroom has an ensuite shower room and a neutral decor for a cool and relaxing feel. Air conditioning throughout the villa also ensures that even in the hottest weather you'll remain comfortable.

The outside space is extensive and features a large terrace, lawns and mature gardens. The covered terrace has a table and chairs for al fresco dining. There's also a private swimming pool with sun loungers, a grassed children's playground with slide and swings and a sports area.

#### Location
Casa Coura offers the best of both worlds, with a peaceful and rural position, yet ideally located for getting out and exploring the beautiful surrounding area. Many new towns are within easy driving distance, with Paredes de Coura being approximately 8 km from the villa.

This small town has several shops and supermarkets in which to pick up your holiday essentials and restaurants serving delicious local fare. In August there's a big music festival in the town's central park, the Taboao River Beach and it's a great place to enjoy a picnic or a dip in the river.

The Regional Museum of Paredes de Coura provides an insight into the area's cultural heritage, mainly through the arts and archaeological finds. There are fascinating displays, including those of textiles, agricultural equipment and decorative objects.

The Corno do Bico Protected Landscape is just a short drive from the centre of town and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Walk through woods and rivers to try and spot some of the wildlife often placed here, such as otters and boars. The beautiful mountainside landscape also provides panoramic views over the town and nearby area.

Approximately 25 km from the villa is the town of Vila Nova de Cerveira. Situated on the banks of the River Minho, it's a place full of history, art and beautiful buildings. One must-see attraction is the Castelo de Vila Nova de Cerveira, a medieval castle that now incorporates an art museum and features artworks both inside and out. Take in unobstructed views of the town and river as you walk along the castle walls.
