Description

Windermere Manor opens into a magnificent hallway with a striking grandfather clock and you are immediately greeted by the staircase and off to the side is a door that leads to the lounge. The lounge has stunning traditional decor, it is filled with beautiful rich colours. Its elegant style is enhanced by the ceiling chandeliers as well as the antique dark furniture in addition to the beautiful colours. The room has large comfortable sofas that surround an open fire and a television that is available for your use acting as background noise or the focus of a winding down evening! There are large windows that look out across the valley, showing Lake Windermere and the mountains.

Continuing through the property you'll find an elegant dining room, acting as the formal dining area which shares the same breath-taking view as the living room. This large window not only offers a panoramic view, but it also lets in plenty of natural light. Additionally, the formal dining room has a television which again can be used to provide background noise. This blue room has another beautiful chandelier that, together with the period style furniture show off the beautiful elegance of this formal room.

Windermere Manor has two kitchens; the main kitchen is a spacious and traditional layout, with an unusual and quirky pink Aga as it's feature appliance. In addition to the Aga, the kitchen has modern appliances that make it an efficient as well as beautiful kitchen. The second is a breakfast kitchen which is equipped with another family dining table, with a curtain that can be drawn to act as a separation between the kitchen and the dining table.

Then you can head upstairs to the first floor. Here you'll find the first collection of bedrooms, and a library, as well as some bathrooms. The first-floor library offers the best view in the house and is the ideal place to relax with a good book. There are two master bedrooms, both of which have king size beds, on the first floor. One of these rooms has an en-suite shower room, the other makes use of the family bathroom with a bathtub and a shower cubicle. Both of the master rooms have a relaxing nature about them, and a tranquil view across the valley. There are then two more bedrooms on this floor, one bright double bedroom and the other a king-size. Both these rooms benefit from a luxury en-suite shower room.

Then on the second floor you'll find the rest of the bedrooms. A king-size room which shares the stunning views of the lake and has an en-suite shower room. The final bedroom has some customisability to it, when you're booking you can specify whether you want the room to be made up as a super-king, or a twin room. Then there is a family shower room on the second floor.

The beautifully landscaped, enclosed, garden is a delight with well planted, mature shrubs and trees beautifully framing the view, herbaceous borders and sloping lawn and accompanied by the sound of the babbling beck as it cascades down to the pond.
