For a few weeks a year the Adler family opens the villa to the public and makes it available to selected guests who wish to live an unforgettable stay experience.
The villa has 9 bedrooms (8 bathrooms) - three suites - and can accommodate up to 22 people. The villa is accessed along a long avenue immersed in the lush greenery of the park that surrounds it.Careful attention was given to former glory oaks, magnolias, oaks, cedars of Lebanon, beech, taxodium from fairy aerial roots, apple and pear trees, fig trees ... On summer evenings, the lawn will dots of light dancing fireflies. In spring and autumn the park offers its most charming face. In the park are scattered areas of rare beauty: a small lake surrounded by weeping willows and a dense thicket, a fifties rose garden, behind the greenhouse, which in May explodes into a thousand roses in the colors and intense perfumes. The villa features an outdoor pool. The large bathtub, immersed in the silence of the park, the 23x8 m, is made entirely of slabs of quartzite: at night, thanks to a wise lighting, creating silvery brightness and magical reflections. Adjacent to the pool, which is accessed by a gently sloping staircase, the hot tub is nestled in a stone wall from which, on command, comes out of a cascading stream. In addition to outdoor showers are large underground changing rooms and utility rooms
The building dates back to the nineteenth century, has three floors and has a rigorous architecture, with a linear facade and sober colors, and is one of the rare villas in the area of Lake Como directly overlooking the lake from which it is separated by a large and elegant lawn.
A long avenue, surrounded by the park’s luxurious vegetation, takes you from the gate to the Villa: the 19th Century villa, one of the few in the Como Lake area that sits directly on the Lake, is on three levels, and shows a distinct architecture and a linear façade.
The Villa’s interior design is an unfolding scenario of connected rooms, that, on one side, are dominated by the presence of the Lake and, on the other side, by the views of the park, thus creating an image of a green and blue painting. Meanwhile, the furnishing provides the interiors with the upmost elegance and attention to detail.
At the ground level, a large traditional kitchen is connected to the dining room, which, along with the subsequent large living room, enjoys a complete view of the Lake and the stunning surrounding landscape through outsized window. A great original 17th Century fireplace lies in the living room that leads to the ‘boiserie’.
The upper floors are accessed by a wooden staircase that leads to the bedrooms, all furnished with tailor made fittings. On the last floor, there is a fully equipped playroom, including a billiard pool, foosball and a ping pong table. On the outside, a solitary cypress overlooks the Villa giving it a unique look from the Lake.
Alongside the main façade that is exposed towards the Lake, there is small mooring (a typical Italian style ‘darsena’) that enhances the beauty of the Villa.
The immense park of about 6 hectares creates an enchanted atmosphere, constituting an exciting natural stage for any type of event. Careful care has restored oaks, magnolias, holm oaks, cedars of Lebanon, beeches, taxodium with fabulous aerial roots, apple and pear trees, figs to their former glory.
In every season the changing colors of the secular plants fascinate with bright or delicate colors. On summer evenings the lawn is dotted with bright dancing fireflies. In spring and autumn the park offers its most enchanting face. In the park are scattered corners of rare beauty: a pond surrounded by weeping willows and a dense bush, a rose garden from the 1950s, behind the greenhouse, which from May explodes into a thousand roses of intense colors and scents.
In front of the greenhouse, an orchard and a tunnel of climbing roses create an ideal setting for photo shoots. On the lakeshore there is a beach to relax and enjoy the spectacular natural landscapes, in the presence of swans and water lilies; a small dock houses two canoes and a small landing stage to explore the lake.
