The living room has a plush cream sofa with colourful scatter cushions that pop against a duck egg blue walls and wooden coffee table. The sofa pulls out to create a 5 footbed, perfect for the younger members of the family. Outside, the blissful aquamarine swimming pool is the perfect space to take a refreshing afternoon dip. The exteriors are designed in a striking style, with an architecturally interesting shape and a charming ridged terracotta roof. The bedroom is separated from the living space in its own individual pavilion. In the bedroom, wake up to gorgeous garden and pool views in your supremely comfortable double bed. Dressed in fine linen with contrasting hot pink cushions, this room has been designed to facilitate a welcoming and relaxing space. The bedroom has a wood panel feature wall inlaid with stunning Moroccan-inspired tiles. Taupe drapes flutter at the floor to ceiling windows, while visually interesting cylindrical lamps hang from the ceiling. The bathroom has a luxurious and relaxing rain shower. Located within the Ansara Resort, a dazzling beach just moments away; guests enjoy the privacy of a villa with the activities and amenities of a resort. Guests can take beginner's surfing lessons at Pakarang Beach, the perfect place to get acquainted with the waves. Visit the Apsara Spa for massages and other spa therapies that help to purify the skin. Thai massage is famous the world over for its invigorating style of soothing aching muscles, and the lagoon setting is beautiful. There are four restaurants and bars on-site, each offering a different experience. The Kinnaree restaurant has exotic garden views and a chilled atmosphere, serving a range of cuisine from around the world and buffets. Napalai has fusion Thai food all day by the pool, while the Zeus Beach Bar is perfect for alfresco barbecues and light snacks. You can also indulge in sunset cocktails on the sand. Finally, the Horizon bar provides wine and cocktails in a charming, rustic setting. Guests can also utilise one of two on-site gyms, which have an impressive range of high spec equipment including an elliptical, exercise bikes and treadmills, as well as many free weights. Check out the Beauty and the Beast style library of dreams, where you can read books and magazines in peace - perfect for those who have forgotten their reading material. Additionally, there are multiple swimming pools around the resort for guests to enjoy. The beaches of Khao Lak are truly idyllic and unlike its island counterparts, much less crowded with a mixture of locals and tourists. Within 10km of the villa, Khuk Khak beach has postcard-perfect white sand and glittering turquoise sea. Soak up the gorgeous views with palm trees swaying in the gentle tropical breeze. There is also a daily local market here, perfect for picking up some exotic fruit or snacks for the beach. Another great atmospheric choice is Bang Niang beach, which has fantastic swimming and snorkelling because of the crystal clear water - see if you can spot some colourful fish and coral. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach to Nang Thong, or enjoy a spectacular sunset at one of the many beach bars. A visit to the tsunami museum in Bang Niang is also a humbling way to pay tribute to the lives lost on Boxing Day 2004. Khao Lak was one of the areas hit hardest by the tsunami and tourism here helps to support local livelihoods. This small museum displays photographs and stories, as well as a local police boat. Khao Lak is the perfect jumping-off point to visit the nearby Surin or Similan islands, both of which offer some of the best scuba diving in the world. On the Surin islands, you might spot wild dolphins, sea turtles or reef sharks. As well as scuba diving, the area is famous for snorkelling.
