Description
This vacation rental with its large private pool, on the outskirts of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (1.5 miles from the city center), is a warm and cosy provencal 18th century mas whose walls are entirely made with exposed stones. The interior is typical and comfortable. You will enjoy an extra bedroom for more comfort. The house is surrounded by a vast green park and features an outdoor summer kitchen with a sheltered terrace near the pool, ideal to enjoy family lunches and barbecues or to relax in the sun. You will also enjoy the location, near all shops and numerous restaurants and close to the most beauitufl sites of Provence. Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is definitely a must, known as "Venice of the Comtat Venaissin (former papal state)", world famous for its antique shops and markets. In the shade of its plane trees, you will contemplate one of the nicest towns of Provence, bathed by the arms of the Sorgue river, and will discover the lively atmosphere, the winding lanes, the 17th century church, the beautiful market and the charming boutiques. Just a few minutes away from the house, climb up to the top of the Galas aqueduct, on the outskirts of enchanting Fontaine de Vaucluse and its mysterious spring, source of the Sorgue river and of its emerald clear water. Cool off by canoeing down the river amidst an idyllic environment, play golf in Saumane or enjoy the numerous biking trails nearby. You can also explore the Luberon Regional Park and its typical villages (Gordes, Sénanque Abbey, Roussillon and its ochre quarries...), or visit Avignon and the Popes' City. Further South, discover Aix en Provence or Marseille and its Vieux Port and sea food, or Arles and the Camargue.
