Description

How would it feel to be the proud owner of a Spanish hacienda? "Coll Doret" is written in gold lettering on the gates – as you pass them you see the land, mountains, and olive trees before driving around the roundabout and parking directly in front of the columned entrance. Before you open up those doors, though, take a seat on the veranda first. Think about this: you are now the proud owner of a 15,000 m² large estate near the low-traffic Ma-4020 leading directly into the picturesque coastal town of Porto Cristo. You can almost smell the sea. Or is that maybe the saltwater pool embedded in the partially covered, terraced landscape? A small pool house with shower and toilet means that spending your time outdoors is highly enjoyable. "Coll Doret" is truly perfect for families with children: the even terrain offers lots of space for play while popular extras such as a water slide and table tennis table have been included, while concerned parents can maintain a relaxed eye on everything from their loungers or the house. On request we are also happy to provide a safety fence for the pool, free of charge. And with such an appealing stone barbecue, who could resist stoking the flames to cook dinner? When the lamps on the terrace have been turned on and the columns cast their shadow, you will definitely see that this personal holiday temple knows how to show its romantic side.

On the matter of temples, the kitchen could also easily be described as one, though perhaps due to the earthy, rustic dark wood rather than any particular holy features. Its style is a bit western yet it is completely modern when it comes to comfort. Salad and sandwiches for hungry cave adventurers are just a few steps away outside on the table. If everything is happening indoors in the neighbouring living area or if the popcorn still has to be prepared for the film evening on the expansive couch, you will still be in the middle of it all in the kitchen. Things are different when it is time for sleeping, however. The bedrooms are spread out in two different directions, with four functionally furnished double bedrooms to choose from. In the summer, fans make sure everything stays pleasantly cool and that you have a restful sleep. In one of the rooms there is even a terrace door that opens wide enough to make you feel as if you were sleeping beneath the starry sky. You can either shower or concentrate on wellness in either of the two bathrooms, with one being an en-suite featuring a jacuzzzi; the tiles have earthy tones, the wood is dark, and modern plumbing fixtures emphasise the rural character of the house. The third bathroom, on the other hand, is something quite a bit different, instead offering a downright "heavenly" pool house – something to ensure a cloud nine holiday experience. Altogether a 300 m² living area, something which you will be hard-pressed to complain about.

Mountains, valleys, sandy beaches, rocky bays, towns, and villages – the eastern part of Mallorca enchants its guests through its diversity. Its coast is famous for being a family-friendly swimming paradise and having picturesque bays. Interested in people, water, and adventure? Head to Porto Cristo, which offers a beautiful bay with a sandy beach and flat descent into the water, a nice promenade with bars and restaurants, and a cliff that offers such attractions as the Coves del Drac stalactite cave network and the largest underground lake in Europe. If that is not enough, take a trip to Manacor, the town of pearls – and take a glossy piece of Mallorca back home with you.
