Praia da Luz is a beautiful beach bay resort sheltered by the Rocha Negra (Black Rock).
Its Blue flag beach of fine golden sand gives absolute joy,
perfect for sun bathing and water sports.
along the promenade there are lots of restaurants, beach cafes and shops.
At the end of the promenade is a seating area where you can look out to sea and maybe catch a glimpse of dolphins pods.
The lovely old fortress is now a restaurant and its garden café serves fresh fruit cocktail. Across the parking area are a few more excellent restaurants offering Portuguese, Dutch, Indian and U.K cuisine.

In Luz you have shops, supermarkets, hairdressers, post office, chemist, cafes and restaurants.
Lagos is certainly full of history, but it is also a vibrant town with lots going on. In the centre the cobbled streets that crisscross each other offer a great choice of restaurant, bars, cafes and shops. There's a superb promenade, a farmers and fish market and, just across the foot bridge is Lagos Marina with good cafes and companies offering boat trips.
