The Casentino Valley and the National Park. Santa Cristina is located just outside the very small village of Papiano, about 50 km from the cities of Firenze and Arezzo, in a panoramic position with a splendid view over the beautiful valley of Casentino and the National Park of the Casentino Forests. With a few minutes drive you can reach Pratovecchio-Stia, one of the most interesting centers of the valley, you can visit the ancient parish church of Romena, the castles of Romena and Porcino, or the beautiful castle of the Counts Guidi of Poppi. For lovers of excursions on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, the National Park of the Casentino Forests offers countless paths. On the nearby Monte Falterona (1656 m) you can also visit the springs of the River Arno.
The panoramic garden and the swimming pool. Around the house there is an outdoor, very panoramic space developed on terraces. Here, in a sunny position, there are also the swimming pool (size mt 4x8, depth mt 1.50) and a pergola with picnic area and barbecue that enjoys the view of the valley below. From the house, with a walk of 200 meters, you can reach on foot Papiano, where there is a typical restaurant, a bar and a small grocery store. In the first week of August the village is the scene of the Tortello Festival, a delicious typical Casentino “ravioli” stuffed with potatoes.

The house is well furnished in the typical Tuscan style and equipped with all the necessary comforts (washing machine, dishwasher, satellite TV, Wi-Fi Internet access), suitable for a family with children or couples who want to relax and enjoy the beautiful views offered by the National Park of the Casentino Forests.

From the living room exit onto a large covered and panoramic terrace equipped for eating “al fresco”. Garage with washing machine.
FIRST FLOOR: with access both from the pool terrace and from an internal staircase, double bedroom with additional single bed and pool view, double bedroom with valley view, bathroom with bathtub. Direct access to the panoramic terrace of the pool equipped with deckchairs and table.
