Our oldest son built the Cottage for his new bride next door to the family homestead in 2010. After his family left a few years later, we’ve been delighted to share it with guests from all over the world. From its vaulted ceilings to spacious deck to fully-equipped kitchen to toys for the children you’ll find the Cottage an ideal setting for your vacation.
Oakhurst is the perfect place to stage your visit to Yosemite as it is a serene mountain town with everything you’ll need. It is a one-of-a-kind place in all the Sierra Nevada in the way it blends high-country beauty with modern conveniences that can’t be found inside the Park. From major grocery stores to more restaurants than your stay will allow you to enjoy, Oakhurst has it all – even our very own Southgate Brewery. Beautiful Bass Lake is just around the corner – a stop guests enjoy adding to their stay.
Cedar View Cottage is located in the historic Sky Ranch area adjacent to the Sierra National Forest, home of the Nelder Grove Giant Sequoias and thousands of acres of high country to explore. We are conveniently situated - only minutes to Bass Lake and Yosemite’s south gate.
