At the far end of the bay you can find windsurfing & sailing at Yaverland. From here a footpath leads to Culver Down, with its panoramic views over the bay.

The two mile coastal walk between Sandown & Shanklin is a popular attraction; choose from the undulating coastal path or the sea wall promenade. Along the way is the village of Lake, with its quiet sandy beach and water sport centre.

Just a short walk from the property you'll find Dinosaur Isle with life size models and the Isle of Wight Zoo famous for its Tiger Sanctuary. There is also an 18 hole pitch & putt golf course and a smaller putting green. Sandown train station links you to Shanklin and the other beach resort of Ryde.
