On the top of a gently sloping hill, 4,5km away from Porto Heli, this newly built house is part of 2 neighboring independent and elegant villas on an idyllic 4,000 m2 plot (the second villa is not for rent, it is used by my family). Located in a quiet scenery, the house is overlooking the Kounoupi beach and its homonymous island with astonishing views of the islands of Poros and Dokos.
Villa Emmelia is designed by respecting the local architecture (use of local pebbled stone) with cotemporary, minimal, stylish and comfortable interiors. It consists of 3 levels.The 2 higher levels consist the main villa while the lower its guesthouse with no internal communication between them. The ground floor features an open plan kitchen with a seating and a dining area around a fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped with all the necessary facilities, including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and filter coffee maker. The first bedroom is situated at a higher level (three steps only) from the living room with a bathroom just next to it. There is direct access to the outdoor spaces and to the swimming pool. It is possible, during your stay, to specify whether you prefer this room to be equipped with double or single beds. The master bedroom, on the upper floor, includes an en-suite bathroom and has access to a balcony with an amazing view and to a private terrace, ideal for privacy and book reading.
The spacious unified living and dining room opens up to a large covered terrace ideal for breakfast and home cooked meals with awesome views to the Greek landscape and to a complex of islands. This outdoor space links to an open and a covered section. The open section has a large swimming pool (length 13m, width 5m, max. depth 2.4m) along with a pool side shower which is perfect for sunbathing and for enjoying the breathtaking limitless view to the horizon. The swimming pool is at exclusive use by the guests. This area extends to a covered section. It comprises, on one side, a protected seating area for relaxation time and on the other side a bbq corner/ bar with a gaz grill and a mini bar for preparing meals and refreching drinks at all hours of the day!
The Guesthouse, situated at a lower level than Villa Emmelia, benefits from the same astonishing view facing the sea and the islands. It has a separate entrance, it is independent and autonomous as a whole. The spacious 80m2 Guesthouse can accomodate up to 4 guests. It consists of two bedrooms with a large bathroom and an open space living room with a kitchen - dining corner. Its outdoors covered terrace undoubtedly offers unforgettable and relaxing moments while enjoying an amazing view of the scenery. The access to the swimming pool and the outdoor spaces is immediate.
The Guesthouse will only be used given the number of guests. A reservation that exceeds the number of 4 guests will automatically be given access to the Guesthouse. Otherwise, the Guesthouse has to remain vacant.
It is ideal for families with kids, groups of friends or couples. Booking your vacation in Villa Emmelia and the Guesthouse allows traveling with friends and family and still having some private moments in the terraces of the premises.
The 2,000 m2 of gardens extend around the house, with pine trees, dafnes, myrtles, aromatic plants and shrubs.
All rooms of Villa Emmelia and the Guesthouse, are air conditioned and equipped with ceiling fans, making it very pleasant during the hot summer days. Wi-Fi Internet connection is provided as well as satellite and smart TV.
